I get a light nose on this one with agave, earth and a new one for me, cola nut The palate tastes cooked agave, cinnamon minerals, oak, vanilla and caramel. I get citrus tastes. It has nice buttery taste. Black pepper at the finish It has a watery finish with a touch of alcohol heat. Very nice repo.
Nose: Black and white pepper with a juicy character. Thick body. Palate: Medium body. Pepper up front which delves into a beautiful sweetness and ends in hot spicy pepper. Finish is long but a little hot. Quality sipper. A little hot for a 46%er but definitely good.
lagrimas sabino repo - Nose: barrel notes / baking spices, agave, cinnamon, mild tropical notes/banana, fruit on high nose. Gets better as it opens! Palate: sweet agave, a little heat, pepper, cinnamon, Finish: warm, pepper Overall: good viscosity, nice sipper. Not sure how I rank it against the other 2 vintages. At some point I'll do a side-by-side Value bumps this up a couple points at $70-USD

Nose: sweet agave cooked / vanilla/ oak / earth / butter / hint of pear / apple/ banana/ citrus / tea / hint of jasmine / baking spices / molasses Taste: sweet cooked agave / cinnamon/ vanilla/ caramel/ peppermint/ banana/ pear / apple / lime / anise / spearmint/ tea / nutmeg/ hint of tobacco/ hint of chocolate/ molasses/ cream soda Finish: lightly viscous with a smooth velvet mouthfeel/ lingering cinnamon-peppermint notes continue to stay balanced with the sweet agave throughout the whole sip. Very harmonious blend of flavors that all hold their notes simultaneously till the last swallow. This reposado is a high proof at 46% abv. The flavors are bold and distinct, possibly because of the higher abv. A very enjoyable balance of spicy and sweet with a very strong finish make this a distinctly delicious tequila.
Nose: earth / minerals/ oak / faint pepper / faint hint of apple/ lime / lemongrass/ leather / Taste: SWEET agave bomb / cinnamon/ hint of pepper/ vanilla/ banana / apple/ lime / orange peel / licorice/ spearmint/ tea / baking spices / a tiny hint of tobacco/ chocolate/ molasses/ honey/ Finish: very wet cool water mouthfeel that just has a lingering agave sweetness and faint notes of cinnamon, fruit, and vanilla, culminating in a minty fresh last swallow. This repo from the El Chiqueno rancho shows how different terroir creates very different flavors and aromas. This tequila has a very interesting and enjoyable taste profile, but you can still taste the blanco origin distillate through the nice barrel aromas and flavors.
Drop rich flavors tons of minerality, very oily feel. Lots of mint and vegetal notes. I really enjoyed this.
