1123 just seems to slay everything they make! I tasted this blind and the higher proof was well hidden. N- blast of agave, fresh herbs, lemon, white pepper, wet earth T- whoa. Cooked agave, minerality, more fresh herbs, seeded jalapeno, lemon rind MF- medium body F- medium in length and everything dissipates at just the right moment V- $65 in Michigan makes this a decent value considering how much this made my mouth happy
Nice bright agave nose. Signature cascahuin. Long legs on the glass. Easy going palate with not a ton of flavor but turns into a sweetness on the finish with a lingering heat and a slight bitterness but not with every sip. It’s nice but doesn’t dethrone Palo Verde.
Taking the tequila ocho approach and showing off the terrior. Look- with a straw like color the legs form extremely slow Mouthfeel- nice and viscous on the palette Nose- nice cooked agave, minerals little barrel spices, pepper Taste- cooked agave and minerals upfront that flow into a nice vanilla/caramel on top of pitted fruit with a spearmint and brine towards the end before finishing with a white pepper overlay. This has a medium to long finish, the agave shines through and is enjoyable if you like mineral taste in The tequila . Not much heat but enough to say this is pretty damn good.
Another solid bottling by 1123! I tasted this blind and once I found out this was 46% I was shocked. N- baked agave, citrus, baking spice, apple T- caramelized agave, vanilla, plum, oak, cinnamon spice MF- medium F- long lasting with any sweet notes slowly giving way to a mellow alcohol heat finish V- $70 in Michigan makes this just an average value to me personally. It's fantastic but I try to keep my Reposado purchases around $65 or less when I can
