Blind review: 1/31/2024 Aroma: sage brush type of dry vegetation and earthiness hit immediately followed by a slight smokiness and raw agave aroma. As it opens up I get some cooked agave, salt brine, and black olive Flavor: very subtle flavor with some agave sweetness. Somewhat floral with a nice creamy orange blossom honey sweetness. Finish is short with a nice medium body texture. There’s almost no alcohol burn and a nice sweetness is left on the palate.
This XA is very nice with the agave still being king despite being rested for in barrel for 5 years. Nose- agave, cherry, little barrel spice Taste- agave, barrel spices, cinnamon, fruit ,cherry, honey, Carmel, light pepper. Very enjoyable
Initial nasal impact is warming. Cooked agave, tropical fruit, cinnamon, fennel, banana on the aroma. Buttery mouthfeel with generous alcohol. Flavor of tropical fruit, cooked agave, banana. Some fennel in the back end. Great balance on a med long finish.
agave cinnamon short finish very easy sipping
Savoring this 12-year-aged extra añejo straight from the barrel is an extraordinary experience. The profile showcases an elegant harmony, with an abundance of dried fruits, creating a rich layer that includes hints of leather, velvety textures, and a subtle yet pronounced cherry note. The infusion of elegant spices and a touch of white pepper adds a layer of complexity, making this tequila a truly refined and exceptional profile.
