Nose: Vanilla, roasted agave, and caramel lead the way, followed by toasted coconut, apricot, cinnamon, and a hit of black pepper. Nothing artificial - just clean, honest barrel notes with a bit of spice. Palate & Mouthfeel: Medium body with a smooth feel. I get cooked agave, caramel and a nuttiness that leans a bit more savory than the coconut on the nose. Backed by orange and a subtle minerality. Jalapeño and black pepper help keep it from going soft. Finish: Medium long. Caramel hangs on, a creamy maraschino note shows up, and it fades out with cinnamon and black pepper. Final Thoughts: Some good flavors here, but nothing earth shattering. For around $45 this is a workhorse repo.
TMM Blind Tasting:2025 The aroma opens with cooked agave, petrichor, hay, cinnamon, and a noticeable ethyl burn. On the palate, cooked agave leads into lime citrus and a burst of ethyl, followed by light floral notes, tropical fruit or peach, slight cacao, grassy mint, and a clinging spicy sweetness with slight astringency. The finish lingers with citrus, grassiness, and a continued spicy-sweet cling.
Blind TMM tasting: Clean agave nose and flavors. Very light all the way around, including the finish. Nothing stands out bad or outstanding. Extra points for value.
This one is really nice! Agave, minerals and brine the nose and palate. I also got some floral notes on the nose. Super oily mouth feel. Nice finish.
Nose is neutral. On entry there is some sweetness and a bit of agave but the finish has artificial sweetener notes. Overall this is a very bland product. Worst of the 10 samples.
A nice nose, light sweet cooked agave, cinnamon, fruity. Finishes nicely. Nicely priced at $48
Aroma/Taste: The aroma features licorice, anise, and limestone, along with cooked agave, vegetal notes, brine/salt, and a hint of yeast. On the palate, the taste is mineral, with sweet agave and anise. Finish: The finish is brief and sweet, with a slight black pepper heat. Overall: When tasted blind, this tequila is a "par for the course" blanco. It doesn't stand out as overly distinctive, but it's not offensive either. I would drink it again, both neat and as a mixer. I enjoy it and would like to explore this particular tequila further.
