Glass: Reidel Flute Nose: Cooked and Raw Agave, Citrus, Minerality, Vanilla, Stonefruit Palate: Mango, Pepper, Herbal, Jalapeno Finish: Minerality, Vanilla, Pepper, Cream, Honey. This really impressed me a lot. Citrus, Fruity, and Agave on the Nose. The fruit notes get more detailed on the palate and eventually finish with some sweetness and minerality. For a standard 40% blanco, this is up there with the best!
Vessel: CT Jarrito Nose: Agave, Artichoke, Grass, Anise, Floral Palate: Agave, Cinnamon, Vanilla, Finish: Agave, Anise, Cinnamon Vanilla, Earth, Almond This is quite the agave bomb, especially on the nose. The palate and finish introduce many more earthy and spice notes. All in all, this is a fairly complex and very enjoyable SS blanco.
Musty nose and bitter palate
Initial Nasal Impact is warming. Aroma has cooked agave, honey, herbal, sweet, honeydew melon and green tree leaves. Very wet + watery, cooling mouthfeel. Flavor hits on all cylinders with cooked agave, honey, thyme, cinnamon, sage, clementine, honeydew melon rind, clementine, black pepper. I love the herbal notes. This is a very unique blanco. Agaves out of Guanajuato. Finish is long with honeydew rind and black licorice really holding on. At $49, a solid recommend.
Cooked agave, butter, citrus, On the palate sweet, agave, alcohol, earthy, citrus. Decent blanco.
Nose: Loads of sweet, cooked agave. There’s a grounding minerality and a subtle earthy mustiness that keeps it from leaning too far into the candy shop. Cinnamon shows up, but not loud - it’s mellow and rounded. There’s also this faint vegetal sharpness that reads like dandelion greens - green and slightly bitter, but with a soft floral edge that balances things out. Palate & Mouthfeel: Full and rounded in the mouth, with a weight that leans heavy but stays just shy of syrupy, in a way that totally works. Agave is the star, it’s big and bold, and backed by that same earthy, slightly musty note from the nose. The cinnamon continues here too, but more like the warmth of a lightly glazed cinnamon bun…not sugary, just comfortingly soft and warm. That dandelion character returns, but more developed: a mix of floral and vegetal, like biting the greens while catching a whiff of the bloom. A touch of black pepper warmth weaves through and hangs on. Finish: Long, warm, and persistent. Leaves the mouth coated, with a tingling that feels deliberate and not aggressive, just steady and satisfying. Final Thoughts: This drinks like something in a higher tier, both in quality and presence. It’s thoughtful and layered without trying too hard. For the price point, it’s a standout that is definitely punching above its weight.
