I was fortunate to try this tequila at sabor y cultura LA summer 2024, and I've been waiting for it to be released! I will follow up with my tasting notes when I try it again (waitomg for me shipment). all I noted from Sabor is "this is amazing! 90 pts! best Xolo expression so far!"
Aromas: raw material, a lot of earth, herbal, dried fruit, spice Flavor: a lot of herbal , with subtle cinnamon, - at one point I got a little leather Finish: long- viscous- very nice mouthfeel A nice sipper ** this makes me really want to try the reposado & Anejo
Aroma: raw material on the nose, very green, eucalyptus, mint, savory, light floral Flavor: very complex, a lot of flavor here-subtle tropical, grilled pineapple, savory notes: corn, sweet potato, some brine- it is a 101 HP- the more it sits the more the flavors pop- definitely a tequila to sit with & enjoy all the flavors. Finish: long-the flavors linger- viscous $76.99
Aroma: nice aromas going on- raw material, bright, subtle fruit: stone, - sweet potato, Lime zest, Flavor: initial alcohol at the front- tingles my lips- once it sits a moment the flavors pop- citrus, agave, sweet potato, Finish: medium- some oiliness $65-$69
Overall a solid blanco, very small batch, 480 bottles in this lot, citrus, herbal, minerality, nice balance. Bonus Liter bottle
A nice Joven, with 10% Reposado and 10% Anejo blended in. Sweet citrus, light vanilla and cinnamon notes, a little spice, overall very enjoyable with a nice balanced flavor profile, bonus Liter bottle
