Agave, green grass and citrus very present in the aroma. Definitely displays classic Los Altos profile. Sweet, cooked agave up front in the flavor followed by some black pepper heat and a bit of bitterness at the end. Finish is minimal. This is a solid Los Altos blanco. I wouldn’t put it on the same level as Suerte Leguas or Suerte but it is better than most. 4/26/2022
Cooked agave on the nose… citrus smell and pepper…. Minerality….. Same on the mouth with some vanilla and slight caramel …. Pepper taste lasts
Light nose with hints of cooked Agave, citrus, taste profile is crisp with nice amount of cooked agave agave, hints of citrus, light pepper. Overall a blanco complex enough to be enjoyed by a veteran tequila drinker and a relative newcomer as well.
As the fastest growing spirit in the U.S., tequila has overcome its bad rap as the cheap, college hangover culprit, while simultaneously breaking into a fixated market, where vodka and whiskey previously reigned. What propelled this shift?
Eduardo "Lalo" González, has teamed with two friends, David Rodriguez Carballido and Jim McDermott, to create and distribute Lalo tequila, a very different, more modern premium brand that has already caught on in restaurants, bars and clubs across Texas.
LALO tequila, named after co-founder and maestro tequilero Eduardo "Lalo" González, the grandson of Don Julio González, launched last year in the U.S. after several years of development.
