Nose: Spicy entrance: cloves, cinnamon, green cardamom and cracked pepper. Followed up with a floral/ berry note. Hints of guava and dark cherries. An earthy, mineral element in the aroma and a trace of tart pungency. Flavor: Ripe natural agave leads into spiciness, jalapeño pepper kick, and a vegetal and herbal artichoke/asparagus impression. There is also a green banana note. Not real oily in the mouth - yet it is appealing on the palate. A crisply clean profile. Finishes with a suggestion of almond paste and subtle vanilla.
Excellent taste and long warm finish - knocked a few points for value due to price pint. Good sipper!
Nose of vanilla, oak, citrus, cherry and oak. A touch of leather and butter. Nice round mouthfeel with a slightly dry finish to balance the agave sweetness. Very nice but a little more aged than I look for in a repo.
Very pleasing aroma of fruit, agave, vanilla and slight hay. Nicely balanced flavor, with cooked agave and vanilla. Finish has a nice subtle sweetness.
Knocked a few points off for the price point of almost $100 per 750ml. Very pleasant to sip and having tasted this several times recently, I was glad to obtain a bottle for myself. Caramel nose along with a bit of barrel funk/mustiness. Some sweetness on entry along with agave spice and alcohol. A somewhat short finish that fades to lingering sweetness.
