Vessel: Glencairn Nose: Oak, Vanilla, Butterscotch, Carmel Palate: Vanilla, Honey, Barrel Spice Finish: Vanilla, Toffee, Butterscotch This was a very SIMPLE Añejo. Standard issue and not super remarkable but also some decent for the price. I think this is a great introduction Añejo especially to folks coming from the bourbon community.
Nose: Raisin, Berry, Molasses, Oak Palate: Carmel, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Astringent Finish: Carmel, Vanilla, Oak, Coffee
Very very dark. How long was this aged? My least favorite of the line. don't love the finish. but i still think this is an approachable tequila for newbies Overall, this is a good, reasonably-priced gateway tequila brand.
Anejo barrel spices, mild oak, vanilla. Easy sipper, sweet with short finish. i believe the aeration subdues the flavors. but that makes it approachable to newbies
Repo like the blanco, this repo is an easy sipper. subtle barrel notes, vanilla, caramel. not complex with a short finish, probably due much aeration. trying to define the aftertaste. overall, this is an easy sipper and will be approachable to newbies. tho it's probably too mellow for experienced enthusiasts.
Blanco Overall, a subtle, sweet, easy sipper. not complex. A little pepper and grass on the nose. More sweetness on the palate. Not much of a finish. quite possibly due to excessive aeration. regardless, this is an easy sipper and very approachable to newbies. tho it may be too mellow for experiences enthusiasts.
Some 1,700 miles from those Jalisco farms, in the heart of whiskey country, several Nashville entrepreneurs are betting big on the growing demand for craft tequila in the U.S. as the liquor sheds its spring break reputation.
Vessel: Glencairn Nose: Vanilla, Carmel, Butterscotch, Cinnamon, Honeysuckle. Palate: Stone Fruit, Vanilla, Cinnnamon, Pepper. Finish: Honey, Agave, Vanilla, Cream Soda The nose actually seemed fairly decent to me. The flavor and the finish proved to be far too sweet for me. I seemed to get too much sweetness and a lack of agave.
