On the nose it’s floral and fruity with a high proof punch. Taste starts very mineral and follows with that high sugar agave sweetness and some pepper. Another high proof powerhouse out of 1579! What sets it apart is the 8-year old agave grown at 7,200 feet on brand owner Luis Torres’ private estate harvested with an astonishing 45 brix high sugar content.

This is a really great introduction to what General Gorostieta tequila and El Pandillo can do together. Amazing flavor. This first batch used agaves from brand owners hacienda in Arandas.

The eight year agaves that went into producing this sweet cooked agave tasting high proof blanco, is simply amazing. You get no heat on the palate. A long lingering finish, so enjoyable. Another amazing tequila by Felipe and Luis.

Nose: funk, agave, minerals, white pepper, lime rind, olive, musty, Palate: Full mouth feel with a nice agave punch. Peppermint, green pepper, vegetal Finish: Nice heat (black pepper) inside the cheeks of your mouth and the top of your palate. Fun sipper but not my favorite HP coming from El Pandillo.

On the nose this is nice sweet agave. Mint, Cinnamon and citrus. Banana. Light earth and minerals. On the tongue beautiful sweet agave. More earthy and buttery. I get citrus. Maybe grapefruit. Nice mouthfeel. Does have that 1579 taste. I like this one.

Amazing what very ripe agaves can produce. This tequila smells like pure agave. The taste is full of sweet agave with some pepper, minerals and citrus. One of the easiest drinking high proof tequilas I have had. Excellent.
