Tequila Ninja
A surprising departure from their anejo. I found this extra anejo far less sweet than their anejo, and more nuanced. Although I will give Insólito’s anejo offering the edge for having a more fragrant nose, as apposed to the anejo, this XA still has an agave forward palate along with the barrel influence one would expect from an expression aged four years in new American oak. Dried fruits, caramelized sugars, vanilla, apricots and agave. A mid range finish closes out a solid new offering from Insólito!
