I get a light nose on this one with agave, earth and a new one for me, cola nut The palate tastes cooked agave, cinnamon minerals, oak, vanilla and caramel. I get citrus tastes. It has nice buttery taste. Black pepper at the finish It has a watery finish with a touch of alcohol heat. Very nice repo.
Nose: earth / minerals/ oak / faint pepper / faint hint of apple/ lime / lemongrass/ leather / Taste: SWEET agave bomb / cinnamon/ hint of pepper/ vanilla/ banana / apple/ lime / orange peel / licorice/ spearmint/ tea / baking spices / a tiny hint of tobacco/ chocolate/ molasses/ honey/ Finish: very wet cool water mouthfeel that just has a lingering agave sweetness and faint notes of cinnamon, fruit, and vanilla, culminating in a minty fresh last swallow. This repo from the El Chiqueno rancho shows how different terroir creates very different flavors and aromas. This tequila has a very interesting and enjoyable taste profile, but you can still taste the blanco origin distillate through the nice barrel aromas and flavors.
Whoa! After letting it sit for 20 mins, it’s completely changed! It’s very eye opening with agave, sweet honey and minerals in the nose. Tasty agave that finishes with s faint peach fruit leather chingadera at the end. ¡Fantastico!
It's a solid reposada. Nice level of complexity with cinnamon agave and wood notes. Worth a purchase
Citrus and agave on the nose. Tasting agave, cinnamon, honey, slight bitter oak. Very light oak impact and nice finish from the high proof.

3rd night The aroma for me is light caramel, olive, and brine. Upon sipping there is the flavor of oak, but not heavy or full to the taste, which I indeed enjoy. Cooked agave, caramel, green pear, peppermint, traces of cinnamon, cherries, berries, raisin sweetness and citrus tang dance in tandem. Overall an excellent balance is achieved imo that is complimented and not foreshadowed by wood. Finishes from citrus tang to briny berries and oak with mild warmness in chest.
Floral, citrus, agave on the nose. A pungent, sharp, tingly sensation not in a bad way. Short dry finish. Again Palo Verde supersedes this estate.
This is a great reposado. It has that 1123 DNA. On the nose it’s agave, minerality, citrus with some oak. Even though it’s higher proof at 46% abv, I don’t get a big taste of alcohol. It’s fairly mild with really nice flavors of agave, pepper citrus and oak coming through. It has a nice medium finish. This is a nice reposado.
Another solid 92 proof tequila from El Chiqueno ranch 2022 that has more mature notes than the blanco including, minerals, cooked agave, caramel, oak and white pepper. Another great tasting bottle you'll enjoy from NOM 1123.
Killer stuff. Big depth of flavors. Tons of agave.
Lagrimas del Valle is another great brand from NOM 1123. If you enjoy other brands from the Cascahuin distillery, you likely will enjoy this reposado. Nose: pleasing floral, citrus notes Palate: cooked agave, oak, citrus and slightly fruity Finish: smooth with a black pepper note, not unexpected for this overproof repo A lovely sipper, strongly recommend to all reposado fans
Aroma: first thing I get is the olive, which is amazing. Cooked agave is there. Light citrus and light butterscotch. The olive scent lingers. Flavor: great agave flavor. Olive aroma carries to the flavor. Good buttery body. Medium finish. Overall, very enjoyable. Little pricey but not too bad. For a 46% repo, I’m a fan and will drink again.
Citrus and agave on the nose Taste is oily and a little bitter Long warm finish
Aromas of oak, citrus, and cinnamon. Taste has cooked agave, brine, and straw (which I like). The finish is oak, spiciness.
Olive, citrus and cooked agave on the nose. great rich texture in the mouth, with more cooked agave, black pepper, a hint of caramel from the barrel. medium finish with nice creamy sweet notes. really good, but a bit pricey.
El Chiqueno. I get a little but more of the Mineral rich, wet cement, petrichor nose that 1123 is known for and some grassyness, gren bell pepper and cooked agave. That's about it for the nose. For me, the taste and the finish do a lot more than the nose comapared to the other two. In any case, Super solid.
LOTE 407, bottled on 280723. Color: just a tad of yellow, almost transparent. Aroma: cooked agave, slightly citrus, acidic, quite herbaceous, green notes, good light sweet sour & acidic balance, slightly bitter. 30 minutes in the glass the agave notes become slightly sweet. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, slightly bitter and astringent, cooked agave note not as sweet as on the nose, light pepper. Slightly minty & fresh. Finish is medium to long, cooked agave with slight citrus and herbaceous notes persist.

Lagrimas el chiqueño repo Barrel spices, sweet agave, caramel, vanilla, citrus, cinnamon and pepper. Nice warm finish
