The nose is dense. It’s full of cooked agave, citrus, mint, and black pepper. There’s a herbal and vegetal note with hints of rosemary. There’s some earthy minerality and brine. The citrus notes are lemon, orange, and grapefruit but there’s also a lactic quality with hints of Parmesan and Brie that come and go. - The mouthfeel is dense and viscous. The cooked agave is upfront while the finish has a nice alcohol tingle with hints of peppers thanks to the 42% ABV - 84 proof. I taste some sweetness from the cooked agave, the mint appears on the palate but there are also some savory notes too. There’s an herbal quality but that tingle is ever present. It’s not overwhelming but rather pleasant. - I find the nose to be more complex than the taste but the flavors aren’t lacking. It has an excellent finish but it does come with a higher price tag.

Tasted at MBTC 2023 The Final Event. Overpriced for the market in my opinion.

Nicely produced, citrus, pepper, a little funk. Enjoyable Blanco with a nice message, but still a little pricey

tried at LATF industry party 2023 but cigar bar aromas skewed my tasting so... tried again at Monterey tequila fest 2023, and I really enjoyed both the blanco and repo. I didn't get the malalactic notes typically present with 1599 expressions. deducted a couple points for price but this is a really really good tequila

Lots of charcuterie board on the nose, which you’ll either love or hate. Super easy drinking at 42% with a short, tight, soft finish. Hint of mint and a bit vegetal. Can see this really succeeding with a high-end crowd that hates pepper notes in their tequila. Also: love how much this brand is doing for the local community.

Tasted at LATF. A bit malolactic on the nose, 8% blended in I think for this batch 1. They say each batch will be different. Nice first run.

Phenomenal tequila with a slight lactic funk, which I love. This is high quality tequila, even though it's made with an autoclave, stainless steel fermentation, and all stainless steel pot stills. The cleanliness and purity is insane. If this was a $70-80 tequila instead of a $120 tequila... this would be a 90 rating for me.

Bottle 3946 of Lote 1 of 2023 Nose: A faint undercurrent of lactic #1599 funk meets warming pepper and the aromas of jammy, ripe fruit. Nuanced floral presence, almost perfume like. The dusty smell of a dry creek bed brings a little tickle to the nose. Subtly blended baking spices: nutmeg, a dash of cinnamon and powdered ginger. A squeeze of lemon/lime, trace herbals, thyme, and a pinch of chalky minerals. Nicely balanced medley of aromas, with no one element competing for a front row seat. Flavors: Pepper pops out as first greeting. Viscous agave sweetness next. Aromatic spices follow through to the palate. Sweet citrus oils. Tangibly chewy texture and slight brininess. Some florals and honey on the retrohale. Balanced, with personality and punch. Finish: For me the Valor 42% ABV hits my sweet spot. It delivers robust aromas and flavors with a leisurely finish. And at 42% I can safely enjoy two or three over the course of an evening.

Adjusting score to reflect to price $80 - March 2024 Tasting Notes at the Valor Launch Party [small sample] (need to revisit for a proper tasting analysis) Taste rating: 86 (Price point is a factor to consider as this platform is not built for the brands purpose/projects) Framework: Maintains NOM 1599 fingerprint, with a cooked agave bomb throughout the tasting journey. This profile had oxygenation. Produced in Winter/Spring season Herbal: Grass Sweet Mint/Spearmint Subtle thyme Sweet Citrus: Orange peel/mandarin/grapefruit/pomelo Spices: White pepper Anise/clove Fruity: Green fruits Terroir: Mineral Earthy Additional: Low astringency Bitter/briny Metallic High price point at $110-120 range, but with a purpose to leave a positive impact on the environment and the people involved in crafting the tequila. I tried this one a week ago-ish. Really solid blanco tequila and what stood out for me was the saltiness of the tequila. Alongside the salinity, it’s definitely a mineral forward tequila (my type).

Really nice blanco coming out NOM1599. Agave forward both on the nose and taste. Enjoyable aromas of citrus and pepper, and little funk on the nose really hits you to a different level of appreciation on many steps used to produce this tequila. Enjoy neat or over ice!

Price is a little steep BUT its some great juice, nutty/buttery almost reminiscent of fortaleza, briney, floral, bright, citrus, plenty of agave, long/strong finish, all in all very easy sipper, but plenty of competitive options for half the price, so only dock it in value.

Wonderful aroma with a balance of fresh herb and citrus. Continues to unfold into a minty flavor that evolves into subtle sweetness with a smooth finish. Valor’s commitment to positive impact on the communities they operate in justify the higher price point for this product.

I recently had the pleasure of savoring Valor's Blanco Tequila, and it was truly an exceptional experience from start to finish. This tequila not only delivers a remarkable taste but also embodies a commitment to positive change that sets it apart.   From the moment I opened the bottle, the room was filled with enticing aromas that hinted at the quality within. The nose was greeted with a delicate blend of citrus and floral notes, setting the stage for what would come. As I took my first sip, I was greeted with an exquisite symphony of flavors. The initial burst of crisp agave was followed by a subtle sweetness and a hint of pepper, creating a beautifully balanced profile that danced on my palate. The finish was long-lasting and smooth, leaving me with a lingering warmth that was both comforting and invigorating.   Valor's Blanco Tequila may come with a slightly higher price point than some, but every sip is a testament to the craftsmanship and dedication that goes into its production. And what truly sets Valor apart is their profound commitment to community work. It's heartening to know that with each purchase, you're not only enjoying a top-tier tequila but also contributing to meaningful social initiatives.   In a world where quality and purpose often go hand in hand, Valor's Blanco Tequila is a shining example of what's possible. Lote No. VB01/23. Aroma: cooked agave, lactic note, slightly briny, aromatic herbs, slightly minty, after 20 minutes in the glass the agave notes become sweeter. The lactic note makes the alcohol sensation feel lower & rounder. Palate: sweet cooked agave, mint, resinous sweetness, light cinnamon spiciness, lactic note through retronasal, good sweet, sour and acidic balance. Finish is medium to long, sweet and slightly salty agave notes persist.
