Comparing this against the regular Cascahuin plata, 48, wild common, and legado. This has got it all and only falls a little short on flavor compared to the HP. The price is right, I’m on the lookout for more!
Earthy, mineral, citrus aroma. Flavors of brine, minerals, lime—but it’s fairly one dimensional. Nice legs but thin mouthfeel with a warm yet fairly short finish. Low end of 1123 pricing, but also overall experience. Probably a cocktail tequila for me.
Very interesting citrus component to the flavor profile that I like. Healthy amount of ethanol carrying several other Cascahuin elements from the water and the process. This is worth exploring more. Thanks Tom for the sample
June 11 2024 aguasol blanco samples from Tom H. thanks Tom! nose: I really enjoy the nose on this. it starts with minerality & fruit with hints of cracked pepper and anise. taste: sweet cooked agave, pepper, minerality, grass finish: flavor falls off with lingering pepper on the tongue. other: Legs are nice, not too thick. this would be a good blamcoo for cocktails, especially with the price under $40
Muted agave nose, palate and boring finish. Points for price at $39 for a budget Blanco.
Agave, sweetness, brine and citric on the nose. Bitter notes on the front end, peppery and light agave notes. I enjoy most products from 1123, but this one is not one of my top ones from Cascahuin. Not bad but not their best.
Little brother of Cascahuin Blanco. Solid blanco for cocktails and versatile enough for sipping occasionally
I enjoyed this blanco. Very earthy and lots of minerality along with agave. Its solid and the winner between it and the repo.
Very clean, fundamental glass. Texture is slightly oily, in a very pleasant way. Not as much citrus as I expected on the nose. Slightly earthy, slightly vegetal. Not quite floral, but definitely on the black pepper spectrum on both the nose and taste. The spectrum doesn’t go so far as salty brine, but there is a very clear mineral essence at the front of my senses. There’s not enough heat on the finish to associate with black pepper, but it’s not sweet enough to make me think of cooked agave. Excellent glass, especially for >$40.
On the nose a lot of agave and citrus Flavor great cooked agave a lot of mineral definitely can tell this is from NOM 1123 The finish has a hint of agave a lot of min of mineral taste and its very spicy the finish is long. To me this is a fantastic separate a great price
All the 1123 goodness for a fraction of the price. Less complex than Cascahuin Tahona and Lagrimas, but really nice intro to blanco sipping. And the price… can’t be beat.
Nose: cooked agave, mineral, alcohol, anise, brininess. 1123 signature Taste: agave forward, mineral, bite drinks hot but quick, dry
Less intense or peppery than the reposado. Also less expensive making it a slightly better value. So close to the reposado just a different flavor and aroma. Very smooth finish for a tequila. I prefer to drink 2 oz of it over one ice cube.
Can't believe this is made at 1123. falls short on so many fronts. Strong ethanol, muted flavors. Maybe I just had high expectations knowing where this was made.
Great citrus and jalapeno notes on the nose. Definitely herbal and green like I expected out of Cascahuin. Slight sweetness and back with the green peppers flavor wise. Decent minerality.
Lot 483
Agave on nose, brine, citrus , with a hint of alcol Pallet - kiss of agave sweetness, followed by a rush of minerals, biter fruit, lime zest and some earthiness. Med long finish . Pretty enjoyable. Nice summer sipper ..would mix well with a Paloma or blood orange concoction.
lot 405, I pick up alcohol, black pepper also lemon and cooked agave on the smell. taste is good with more agave and black pepper. also a taste of citrus, lemon peel, mouth feel is good and viscous has a long after taste that clings to your mouth a good bottle for the price
Bottle: Lot No 347, LOTE 347 130223, 2-B Appearance: Clear Full review pending…
Aroma is agave, pepper, with some grass. On the palate it’s agave forward with pepper, anise, herbal minerality is strong with a floral finish that’s slightly numbing.
LOTE 405, bottled on 050923, tasted on 12-28-23. Aroma: light sweet cooked agave, light resinous sweetness, minty, slightly acidic, citrus, hint of orange, earthy, hint of lime. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, lime is more present on the palate, good sweet sour and citrus balance. Fresh. Finish is medium to medium long, hint of sweet cooked agave, lime, citrus and slightly earthy notes persist.
Just a very light and refreshing blanco. Pleasant blanco aroma that carries over to the palette, light citrus and baking spices. For $40 this is a great blanco.
Upadate 11/21/24 - aroma is very nice - green and sweet agave Taste : sweet but green minty +1 Update 10.25.24 - pretty decent Aroma - grassy vegetal thing going on some sweetness Flavor - sweet on the front end and vegetal in the middle and in the finish; for me green agave shines in the middle and end can’t put my finger on what the sweetness is at the front. Finish - medium finish not really a burn due to the strong vegetal finish but does have some numbing Not my fave from 1123 but it nice
Classic 1123 fingerprint, vegetal notes easy to drink

Light and flighty. … this a nice sipper with a nose of light agave and mineral freshness On the pallet it’s similar agave, minerals, citrus and lime.
