Light and flighty. … this a nice sipper with a nose of light agave and mineral freshness On the pallet it’s similar agave, minerals, citrus and lime.
Comparing this against the regular Cascahuin plata, 48, wild common, and legado. This has got it all and only falls a little short on flavor compared to the HP. The price is right, I’m on the lookout for more!
Earthy, mineral, citrus aroma. Flavors of brine, minerals, lime—but it’s fairly one dimensional. Nice legs but thin mouthfeel with a warm yet fairly short finish. Low end of 1123 pricing, but also overall experience. Probably a cocktail tequila for me.
The barrel smooths some edges from the tasty Blanco and adds some nice flavor of its own. Cinnamon and some caramel carried by a punch of ethanol make for a great experience. Tiny bit of bitterness on the finish takes a bit from the score. Thanks Tom
Very interesting citrus component to the flavor profile that I like. Healthy amount of ethanol carrying several other Cascahuin elements from the water and the process. This is worth exploring more. Thanks Tom for the sample
Aguasol repo nom 1123 tasting June 11 2024 sample from Tom H. Thank you Tom! color is light. legs are not as pronounced as with the blanco nose: slight barrel spice, fruit, caramel, melon, a little alcohol that is not offputting and fades quickly palate: sweet cooked agave, mild oak, barrel spice, some minerality and green apple finish: medium other: i assume they used exhausted barrels or only aged this for a few months because there isn't a heavy barrel influence, which I like. this is a very easy sipper and would also be great in cocktails, and the price is right. extra points for value.
June 11 2024 aguasol blanco samples from Tom H. thanks Tom! nose: I really enjoy the nose on this. it starts with minerality & fruit with hints of cracked pepper and anise. taste: sweet cooked agave, pepper, minerality, grass finish: flavor falls off with lingering pepper on the tongue. other: Legs are nice, not too thick. this would be a good blamcoo for cocktails, especially with the price under $40
Nice light barrel nose. Easy going palate and nice finish with a slight pepper finish. I like this much better than the Blanco.
Very impressed with this brand. Great nose with agave, minerals and earth. Floor is on point with nice cooked agave some minerality that flows into a nice earthiness and and bitter chocolate. Very nice.
