Sadly the worst Don Julio tequila ever reviewed. Simply undrinkable. Over priced … gimmicky

Smells like oatmeal with a little maple syrup. Has none of that flavor though. A bit heavy on the flavor that tastes a bit like papery if that’s a thing. Overall it just ok.

Not much agave on the nose , tons of vanilla you do get the port finish , birthday cake finish . There is a market for it but I’m not it . And at $135 it’s pricey

Limited Edition. Experience exquisite reposado rested in ruby port wine casks. Julio Gonzalez was a simple farmer with an unparalleled devotion to his craft. His relentless devotion revolutionized the world of tequila-making, bringing it to uncharted heights. Always in search of better, Don Julio cared for his agave with the highest quality in mind. Each agave was carefully planted, giving them the room to fully grow and mature, and he hand-selected only the sweetest, most luscious portions of the piñas to be harvested at the peak of ripeness. Notes of creamy strawberry, ripe raspberry, dried plum, roasted caramel, and a touch of rich cocoa to create a complex but surprisingly approachable tequila.
