I got 2 ounces of this in a numbered sample pack and really took my time with it. I didn’t love the aroma at first so I let it to open up for a good 20 minutes. The more I smelled it, the more I enjoyed it. Same with the tasting. It smells and tastes of agave, caramel, cinnamon, oak and baking spices with a little bit of herbs and orange peel if I really look for it. The last few slow sips gave a bit of peach and kindof a coffee leather thing too. Thumbs up.
Light amber for an añejo. Aroma of cooked agave, caramel, oak and a hint of cinnamon. Flavor shows cooked agave, black pepper, caramel, vanilla and oak. Nice long finish. The prices I see online are around $100, so I will factor that into my value rating.
Nose of oak and agave. Barrel influence of caramel and vanilla. Smells of cinnamon and baking spice. The taste is caramel and cooked agave. Also hints of vanilla and oak. The viscosity is a little on the thin side. Overall, a good pour.
Aroma: Caramel, oak, agave on the nose. Flavor: Black pepper, baking spice, agave, cinnamon. Long warm finish.
Nose: A delightfully rich vanilla with mild citrus and spice. Tropical fruits, mild leather, and cinnamon. Palate: Similar to the nose with sweet vanilla and lemon butteriness. Fantastic undertones of fruit and spice. Little chocolate can be found with some search. A relatively unknown brand with a lot of potential and value to be had.
I went back to this two days in a row. The aroma is really nice-lots of cooked agave shining though the barrel notes of caramel, vanilla and subtle fruit. On the palette, I get a similar experience with maybe a chocolate covered cherry. Nice sipper.
The aroma reveals notes of freshly cut oak, caramel, honey, toast, clove, and light alcohol. There's a non-offensive hint of acetone and a touch of toffee. On the palate, the flavors of cooked agave and yellow apple are prominent, accompanied by Werther's caramel, whiskey, minerality, and a faint salinity. A pepperiness grips and drapes the tongue, lingering without being harsh. Subtle hints of dill and cooked sweet potato add depth. The finish trails away gracefully, with consistent minerality, cooked agave with a prune note, raisin, honey, and a fading hint of dill.
On nose and pallet - Oak, vanilla, baking spice, light agave, very nice anejo, balanced, unique, solid special occasion sipper.
Very good barrel notes, a little thin but a very solid sipper.
Aroma: Caramel, cooked agave, apple cider, pinecone, orange blossom, fruity notes of banana, citrus, orange peel, nuts and baking spices Taste: Oak, vanilla, caramelized banana, tropical fruits nuances, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and topped with roasted walnuts. Finish has some cocoa, mustiness and barrel spice notes. Price: $90-95
Value: $59.99
Excellent pour. Needs to open up in my opinion. Vanilla caramel bomb from start to finish. Typical woody notes, but the agave can still come through, which I place high value on. Organic and additive free. Nice bottle found locally.
Bottle: N/A, sampled during Tequila Matchmaker’s Tequila School Panel Training Appearance: Light caramel Nose: Cooked agave, oak, whiskey, vanilla, butter, barrel spice, honey, butterscotch, fruity, apple, banana, toasted bread, cinnamon, baking spice, molasses, brown sugar, citrus, orange, and flowers…really enticing barrel notes Palate: Cooked agave, oak, chocolate, vanilla, cream soda, cinnamon, baking spice, black pepper, barrel spice, leather, molasses, caramel, butterscotch, citrus, orange, anise, nutmeg, clove, coffee, and thyme…naturally sweet and very enjoyable Finish: Cinnamon, oak, clove, cooked agave, molasses, and vanilla…shorter finish with a thin-to-medium mouthfeel Overall: The barrel aging is very well done, while still allowing the agave to shine through. The sweetness is upfront, but well-balanced and complimented by the bitter and savory notes. I’m really excited to start trying their other expressions.
Nose - cooked agave, oak, caramel, butterscotch, clove and dark berries. Taste - agave, chocolate, butterscotch, baking spice, butter Finish - great mouth feel, cooked agave, white pepper
Beautiful aroma with the barrel coming first but then letting room for the agave to grow. The flavor of the wood brings light raisin and grilled pineapple nicely but the cooked agave remain the main player. A beautiful lingering finish.
aroma has nodes of orange and caramel. the caramel flavor blends well with the cooked agave. I taste a little cinnamon. a real smooth finish, leaves a cinnamonny flavor in my mouth.
This is a very fruity añejo, with berries and tropical fruits present throughout the tasting. Lots of agave still present on nose and palate. For me the nose also has caramel, vanilla, and cinnamon, and those were still present upon tasting. In addition to these, I got flavors of chocolate and citrus. This was very good, reminded me of a berry cola (in a good way).
Did I just walk into a confectionery? Because this tequila is dessert! The nose gives me a deep caramel aroma with agave, chocolate, and vanilla with a little orange at the end. The taste is similar with the chocolate being more prevalent. The barrel complements the cooked agave sugar so well. The caramel and vanilla hold strong with some nutmeg thrown in. The finish has an orange citrus note making it seem juicy. The oak is very understated and is quite mellow throughout. There is a watery texture so it all goes down smooth and easy. Break this out on Valentines Day and be the hero!
The aroma and taste are very smooth with this anejo. It has a nice caramel pairing with cooked agave and oak in both the aroma and taste. I just really enjoy how smooth this is from start to finish.
Aroma: Oaky, cooked agave with a hint of cinnamon. Flavor: Rich oaky, cooked agave with caramel and black pepper. Now the cinnamon is more pronounced. And I detect a bit of chocolate. You might want to pair this with your favorite chocolate. Finish: Medium finish, unless you paired it with the chocolate. Then, it’ll stick around almost as long as the chocolate.
Strong pleasant aroma of oak followed by caramel agave and vanilla. The taste follows the nose with a pop of cinnamon and a solid finish. First time tasting and Im a fan.
Fantastic aromas of caramel, cinnamon and oak, while also keeping the agave present in this añejo. The flavors match the aromas but add a very slight citrus and a little pepper in the finish.
Aroma: agave mixed with wood, caramel, and spice Flavor: vanilla, caramel, cinnamon, agave, butter, hind of fruit Sweet but not artificially so. Sure to be a crowd pleaser.
Aroma: cinnamon, cooked agave, oak, vanilla, caramel, citrus, fruit, berries. Flavor: cooked agave, black pepper, cinnamon, chocolate. Nice, warm finish with a hint of prune and a little peppery. A new favorite!

Nose: vanilla/ caramel/ agave sweet cooked / cinnamon/ chocolate/ faint hint of cherry / grapefruit/ tea / faint floral / baking spice / molasses Taste: agave cooked / pepper / vanilla/ oak/ butter / apple/ melon / lime / anise / mint / tea / nutmeg/ whiskey notes / leather / cream soda Finish: a slightly vicious mouthfeel conveys the platform to carry some agave, pepper, and other sweet notes. There is a long lasting bitterness that disturbs the final finish. This anejo is nice and smooth; it’s not big on flavor. There are a number of flavors that stand out, and they have some harmony together, but ultimately the bitterness on the finish and the lack of bold nose/tastes keep this anejo from climbing up the scoreboard.
