Not a fan of this one. Nice nose, no real agave notes, funky finish.

Nose: Raw oak. Faint bourbon aroma. General fruitiness, with cherry standing out. Vanilla and mellow barrel spice. Some earthiness. Flavor: Barrel oak is rough around the edges. Pepper and vanilla. Semi oily texture. The sweetness has a bitter/off quality on the tongue. No obvious hotness to the 45% ABV. Finish: There is something odd in the aftertaste - and it lingers in a detracting manner. Definitely a step or two down from Don Cenobio’s Batch.

Again, the base was not made at 1102 but was rested and bottled there. Tastes natural and at 45% ABV carries quite a bit of flavor both from agave and the barrel. This is an interesting experiment for Casa Sauza. I await the inevitable Añejo.

Aromas off the top are the white oak and cooked agave. Honey, lime, fruitiness in the mouth. The finish has a little spice and some caramel.

Very clean and crisp flavors. Agave forward with lime and vanilla. The oak brings a honey butter flavor to it. Peppery and a touch spicy, minerals and salt and a wisp of smoke.

Tried it for the first time in Amsterdam, at Los Pilones. Love the taste; smooth and rich. Good quality
