Nose: fine champagne or wine / fruity / vanilla: plum-grape/ green apple / pear / mint / cream soda Taste: agave sweet and apple - huge sweetness with fruitiness overflowing/ apple / grape / plum / vanilla/ black pepper/ mint/ maple and chocolate Finish: So many different flavors creating an orchestra of flavor that has sweet champagne and chocolate as the melody. Beautiful mouthfeel that lingers with that chocolate and mint harmony. Encore!!!! Summary: Wow. The sweetness and champagne chocolate notes won’t work for everyone’s palate, but if there was ever a dessert tequila, this is it.
A lot of sweet that falls in a hit of alcohol and then flat nothing.
Very complex with barrel and strong fruit notes. Very good.
Really pleasant heavy oak derived sweetness, picking up on the cherry wood used in the aging process. Very clean.
Tried a sample. Nice barrel nose with pepper on finish. Easy palate but not a lot going on. Price needs to be less for this one.
Notes on the nose were overwhelming dominated by ethanol. The profile was ok with hints of oak, pepper, but very little cooked agave present. The issue was the finish was defined by an ethanol burn. Even after airing it out a while not much changed. It was not terrible however at $170 I can’t justify recommending this. The majority of the influencers promoting this spend more time talking about it being women owned etc etc than the actual juice. But I’m the end I always suggest people make up their own minds. I may revisit and give it another try in a few weeks.
MJ/ANE/HV/001/23 Initial nasal impact is warming. Aroma: Cooked agave, caramel, cherry, prune, oak Buttery mouthfeel with sufficient alcohol. Flavor: Cherry and prune, cooked agave, caramel, baking spice, wood notes. Finish: Medium (wish it was longer because I really like this). A couple points off for finish and price
march 25, 2023 tried at pnw agave club event at mission cantina in seattle. nom 1412. only a few of us got to try about 1/2 oz each. I liked it but it was difficult to do it justice with such a small pour, and I didn't write down my notes. would have rated higher but points off for price
Loved the taste of this at a local event. I was one of half a dozen that were treated to about half ounce each. Enough to get the taste and not enough to really savor. Price of around $200 US holds this back but the melange of barrels has a well done and not overbearing influence on the aging of this spirit. This was the only NOM 1412 product available, the Reposado and Blanco were from 1499.
Overall solid. Aroma is nice. Too much oak, lacking agave flavor. Finish is good. Points deducted for the price point.
Liked everything about this Anejo except the price. Give it a point more for being limited
Great expression… deducted points because of high price
Lost some points for price. But wow, mijenta does it again. Nose- agave, vanilla, pitted fruit, little floral, pepper Taste- agave up front lots of vanilla, butter scotch, little oak, floralness, small hint of smokiness pepper. Very nice anjeo
This is basically a candied apple to me. I taste green apple and caramel along the lines of the agave and the oak. I can say this is a unique XA and I like that.
Oily mouth full- pepper, oak, candied orange and spices some agave Good drinker Will revisit , freshly cracked bottle Revisit- Nose- nice ..oaky, good start. Pallet- spice, oak, marzipan like , pineapple rind, pepper Opened up nicely. Sipper but a bit over priced. Scared of the XA once that comes.
Artenom Atl. Sweet, flavorful
Nose and Taste is Beyond Cloying... this is Disgusting!
Mijenta Gran Reserve Añejo Overall - a light, above average tequila Nose - vanilla, light cooked agave, oak, and ethanol. Flavor - caramel, light oak and pepper. Found this at $130 and probably wouldn’t pull the trigger on it at this price point. I would range it around the $90 mark imo. I must say, I like a more full flavored drink. This is pretty tasty.. just a little light for my palate. I’ll revisit with a cigar another day.. I’d imagine this would be great with a full bodied cigar. Overall, I’d give it a 8/10.
Oak forward. soft caramel and vanilla with agave. Easy sipper. Lost points on value at $150 in chicago area.
Like the notes from the different barrels. Delicious but loses a couple on cost.
Not a big fan of autoclave cooking and roller mill extraction, but nevertheless a good anejo that is too expensive.
Not that it isn't any good, but there's nothing unique or appreciable here. Unfortunately, this takes the same path as Fortaleza Anejo, nothing unique or appreciable as well. They both suffer the fate of having palate and aromas of Irish Whiskey, specifically Redbreast 12. Shortbread stands out all around on this one, too much! This is my first and only NOM 1412 from Mijenta. It will be unfortunate if their blancos and reposados from 1412 are this short of my expectations. This gets thrown at its box and has me pulling out and pouring actual Redbreast 12.
Great nose! Cherry-vanilla right up front followed by banana, buttercream, agave and oak. Silky mouthfeel. Has a “fine scotch” profile. Mildly sweet and smooth with some caramel, cherry, cocoa, cinnamon and spice right on through a warm and lingering finish.

I must admit I have not been the biggest Mijenta fan. This is a great tequila. The nose is unique with this champagne yeast. So sweet on the nose with agave and floral notes. I am getting vanilla and caramel at a luscious level. The taste is just as exciting. There is a bit of alcohol presence but the sweetness shines through. Plenty of caramel and vanilla.
