A bit more funk than the 46% version. Similar profile but somehow more reminiscent of licorice. It is not simply a watered down version of the 46, I find them to be a bit different on what flavours are accentuated.

Nose: Barnyard funk that is immediately tamed down with some anise aromas. Nice mineral presence, herbal notes, celery hint and thyme. Natural agave richness. A touch of smokiness. A whisper of floral. More of a dry profile compared to the blue agave 40%. Flavors: Still getting the mushroom compost/barnyard notes. White pepper with some kick. Cinnamon and anise. Thick and creamy in the mouth. There is a caramelized taste to the agave sweetness. This is far less floral and fruity than its Blue Agave counterpart - not necessarily a negative. Finish is lengthy, creamy, spicy, peppery and invites you back for more. I love this distillery.

Super impressed with this blanco! I really have never been a blanco fan (I guess I’ve never had any that have convinced me before this!). Very complex, smooth drinking, and a good feel in your mouth. We’ve been struggling to find this anywhere and came across it in a tasting bar in Puerto Vallarta. Oops I rated the wrong one and can’t remove it! This wasn’t for the chato

Flavor profile is more herbaceous than its Agave Azul brother. Anything Caballito Cerrero must be tried!

Tasted at the distillery December 2019. Aroma is sensational and has a bit more boldness than the azul. Taste is strong with cooked agave, spice and river rocks. Finish is good.
