Nom 1499. Aroma, agave and burnt sugar forward with light wood and spice tones. Flavor, agave, wood sugars, light caramel, marshmallow. Tingly finish with more burnt sugar at the end. Not trying to be insulting but is a bit reminiscent of a Don Julio profile toward the end with the burnt sugary finish.

NOM 1499 | 1st Review Not properly filtered and tequila was extremely muted. Will have to revisit again, tried at a bar so somewhat skeptical - Score 79/100 2nd Review - Score 84/100 I’m glad I revisited, profile has changed and I really enjoyed it. Banana/tropical fruits is a key factor in this tequila. It can be sipped, but I think it can greatly be used in mixology. Deducted points since it’s $70 where I’m located, overpriced for the overall experience (bottle, packaging, tequila profile)
NOM 1499 | Very nicely made Reposado, light wood notes, sweet agave, slight spice ....
NOM 1499 | Aroma : Watermelon and bananas with cinnamon, oak, cloves and vanilla. Taste : Peppery heat with cloves and cinnamon accompany the same fruity notes you get on the nose alongside creamy, sweet cooked agave. The texture is full and oily just like the Blanco. Finish : Long and crisp with good balance between sweet and spicy flavors.
NOM 1499 | Flowers, melon, vanilla, agave, sweet banana dominate the aroma. Melon, banana, flowers are at the front on flavor as well. Some oak and cooked agave follow. Citrus is present in the background too. Creme brulee noticably coats the sides of the tongue during the finish and retrohale. Medium finish. Points deducted in Value category for the $61 price tag for a repo and the glass "cork" stopper is horrendous. While I like it, I might not buy it again for those two reasons. The Blanco is a better value
NOM 1499 | Initial impression: The aroma is lacking for me, but it may be due to my cold and dry home. I'll have to reevaluate in the spring/summer. The flavor is interesting, quite soft, and but is mainly from the whiskey barrels. Finish is satisfactory. I was hesitant about this product due to the 3x distillation, but had heard good things and wanted to try for myself. The glass stopper is different. It will take some getting used to since it has a tight fitting rubber(?) gasket. I scraped the inside of the neck as I pulled the stopper out. Hopefully, I don't scratch or crack the glass, but that would be my fault, not the bottle design.
NOM 1499 | Nose: Agave sweetness, Floral, Clove, Nice barrel notes, Very ripe cantaloupe, The aroma of Banana Foster’s Flavor: Light Banana, Carmel, Citrus, White pepper, Cinnamon, Clove, and Cooked agave sweetness Finish: The finish is spicy , medium in length with the sweetness carrying through
NOM 1499 | Mijenta offers floral citrus on the nose. I’m tasting cinnamon, pepper, orange, banana, almond, honey, vanilla, and very light oak. It’s got an oily mouthfeel with a long sweet and spicy balanced finish. Very nice!
NOM 1499 | Nose: A delicate combination of warm spices with a touch of vanilla. Given a few minutes to open up, brings out guava, banana and cantaloupe aromas. A citrusy floral thread wends its way through the aromas. Flavor: The initial pepper, clove and cinnamon heat, mellows to share the show with buttery, silky almond cream and vanilla custard. Some green elements: cucumber and Serrano chiles. Plenty of agave and fruit playing strong supporting roles. Oak influence is merely a bit player on this stage. Finishes leaving an airy, delicate and elegantly balanced impression.
NOM 1499 | Nose of tropical fruit, cantaloupe, butter, clove, cinnamon, vanilla and pepper. Oily mouthfeel with nicely balanced sweetness. Very pleasant.
Smokey, but light. Really like the smell and agave aromas. Super smooth and nice after taste.
I ordered this at a bar, before dinner, it was my first reposado and I loved it. I’m definitely picking up a bottle, and if it’s possible I will comeback and give a more detailed review .
NOM 1499 | NOM: 1499 Aroma: cooked agave, exotic smell similar to a dark aged rum or cognac and alcohol burn. Taste: plastic/rubber at first sip then slightly sweet with notes of marzipan, cooked banana, baking spice and toasted bread. It is a complex tequila that adds more flavor every time you sip on. The mouthfeel is top tier a bit grainy, very soft and comforting it made my tongue numb which I quite enjoy. The finish is where this tequila felt somewhat short it is nice and lingering but for me the sweetness increased a bit much after a few sips. The marzipan flavor remained but I got honey on top of it with some bitterness similar to dark cocao; it would need a bit more balance and nuance with the agave to make it a daily sipper. Nonetheless, it is an amazing and very interesting tequila with many layers of flavor and definitely worth a try. I really enjoy my experience tasting it, the American oak, French and acacia barrel aging add many things that I have never tasted in a tequila before and I’m so glad I did! Personally, I would recommend to stick to a small glass only due to its richness. To anyone who likes reposado I can’t recommend this enough especially if you want to experience something different with that interesting blend of different barrels.
NOM 1412 | A weird fake agave smell, but agave none the less. Fruity taste with heat in back into finish. Fruity to a weird fault. But a nice interesting flavor
NOM 1412 | At La Pina 9/9/23 Hint of plastic in the smell. Taste is peppery, oaky, vanilla, agave.
NOM 1412 | MJ/REP/HV/003/23 Color: yellow to dark yellow. Aroma: caramel, vanilla, very light wood note that is slightly astringent, citrus & acidity, light raw agave, good sweet sour & citrus balance. Orange peel. Palate: green tea with vanilla & light wood note that is slightly astringent, citrus, mandarin through my retronasal. Wood & vanilla note is too active. Thick mouthfeel. Creamy vanilla at the end. Finish is medium to long, vanilla & light wood note persist.
NOM 1412 Aroma is fantastic with lots of agave. Nice touch of barrel. This is a perfect Reposado and I recommend seeking it out.
NOM 1412 | pure tequila flavor with a hint of anise
NOM 1412 | NOM 1412
NOM 1499 | Great flavor-easy to sip neat. A true tequila. Will buy again.
NOM 1412 | Wow…this tequila is special. The aroma is gentle with oaky pepper agave and some light earthy flowers; flavor- double wow. It starts- heavy agave- pepper- oaky- and then things get complex- where did all these flavors come from? This makes me want to keep sipping to see what other delicious flavors I can find… is that banana and soil…kind of numbs my tongue… this is good. A few weeks later and coming back to this after many other tequilas and this is so delicious. Aroma has more fruit now than earthy flowers- banana. Palate is so good- this one makes me smile. Agave- light pepper now with a a very complex and enjoyable start to finish. This should be a go to for first timers.
NOM 1412 | It has a very distinct pepper and kind of burns on the pallet.
Agave with a kiss of caramel on the nose. Soft mouthfeel with a smooth agave/banana taste on the palate. Some vegetal and citrus flavors in there too. Another solid tequila from Mijenta.
