Barrel 3- Nice spice, fruit, wet cement/wet earth, fresh and sugary sweet, but so clean and more, with tons of deliciousness

Barrel 3, Bottle 690. Color is light straw. Medium to medium heavy viscosity. Aroma is somewhat reminiscent of El Tesoro de Don Felipe reposado at first, but has greater depth I probably won't fully appreciate on this first pour. Flavor is amazing - excellent representation of a reposado where agave meets oak and both are in harmony. The sweetness is just to my liking (hard to describe). Finish is very good - not much alcohol, but some nice toasted oak notes that continue through. Purchased for $75USD; fitting for the range, quality, and uniqueness, but perhaps a bit much for a reposado, in general. All in all, an excellent addition to the Volans range.

Aromas of butter, vanilla, baking spices, dried fruit, floral notes and wet earth. Rich, silky texture and nice butterscotch taste with a mineral, black pepper finish, typical of El Pandillo. Well balanced and complex. The kind of repo you make sure to have on your bar!

Nose: Floral, fruity, spicy entrance. Light colored tree fruit: a hint of pear and aromas reminding me of honey crisp apples. A sweet/tart combo. A whiff of flowery orange blossoms. A warm spice blend of allspice, cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg. Vanilla, caramel custard creamy aromas. Includes some subtle minerality. Flavor: Silky in the mouth. Velvety, and dynamic flavors working harmoniously. Hazelnuts, caramel, spiced apples and some slightly sweet peppercorn warmth. There is a very unique sweet/herbal/sachet layer of flavor not found in other El Pandillo reposados. Nice balance.

Will never be able to post notes like Remy can but the minerality is not subtle to me. It’s very apparent just like other 1579 products and mostly the reason I love it. I get a nice vegetal grassy nose with Petrichor (wet cement). Taste is the same with nice herbal spice like my wife’s Baklava. She is currently making some now so I can’t wait to taste some with it. I am a huge fan of Felipe’s blancos and this is my first Reposado tasting. Barrel 2

Barrel #1. Earthy! Musty/Wet cement, fresh, vegetal agave and a bit of oak on the nose. Very agave forward, green pepper skin, corn grassiness, pepper, apple, oak. Not a lot of barrel. Complex. Finish: That agave just keeps going. Wow. More Apple. Very vegetal and musty. Try it in different classes, there’s a lot going on here. After four pours over the last several days it keeps growing on me.

Limited release Reposado single barrel #2, bottle 549. Agave, rainwater, wet cement, and apple finish extremely smooth, balanced, and sweet—with nice legs. Very light and mineral, for blanco lovers.

This is amazing great job again from Felipe. Earthy, sweet, agave, well done. Lovely I don't know which one is better between the blanco and this one. This is a must have.

Did a blind tasting alongside another very good Repo, but Volans aroma was all agave and extremely pleasant, taste is very earthy which is my favorite kind, green olives, and citrus peel, it takes me back to the Tequila I’m used to drinking all my life, absolutely amazing! Light in color is to be expected from el Pandillo barrels, full of flavor.

No soy de reposados, pero sin duda es una de las mejores opciones en el mercado, a un precio accesible y hecho con mucho amor por el volans team y por el Ing. Felipe; nuevamente queda en manifiesto que con el Pandillo no hay pierde
