Nice barrel notes on nose. Delicious palate and great finish. This is fantastic stuff. I love the standard Añejo offering so this is just a treat. Would love to see price come down a bit though, loses a point or two for that.

From Old Town. There have been several different barrels released and this one is at 44% ABV. Agave custard, with a healthy dose of baking spice and some ethanol. Never obtrusive, the alcohol, agave and barrel elements are well balanced and harmonize forming a very pleasing whole.

Nice complexity of flavor with notes of fruit that complement the barrel notes. The higher proof on this is nice as well.

I picked this up along with the repo from a small liquor store. Only 2 GD they had. This bottle is 98 proof. Lot L-123, bottle 74. The aroma is light and easy. Some agave (minimal) with the faintest hint of vanilla and minerality. The flavor has some more agave and the beginning of pepper. There is still some light vanilla and a bit of the barreling pops up. The mouthfeel is a pleasant combination of watery and oily. A very nice mouthfeel. This finishes with more agave and pepper which leaves a nice coating and tingle on the back and sides of the mouth. There is not the burn which sometimes comes with a high proof product. I wish I could have purchased more. I will be on the lookout for other versions.

love the full body aroma, flavor, very complex and long finish. I get the agave and wood aroma right away with the vanilla some pepper and baking spices. It's agave and wood forward surprisingly not to strong given its cask strength 86 proof.

Honestly, this one surprised me in the best kind of way. Really nice earth and wood notes complemented by a hint of caramel and baking sweetness, but less than most Añejos. Quite complex; I’m going to have to spend a lot of time with this one. My girlfriend and I tasted it next to Ocho Añejo (which is one of my favorites), and we actually preferred this. This is a steal at it’s price point. Amazing... Buy it all.

Aroma - wonderful. I get a variety of fruit, nothing sweet. Floral Flavor - immediate sweet taste like toffee or fudge. This quickly fades to an oily coating followed by light oak and pepper. The flavors come like a multi part play, one at a time Finish - medium heat, but nothing extraordinary Well done.
