Long Island Lou does a video review of Volans Blanco.
Blind tastings are the best way to find out what you really like, free of marketing hype, bias, and previous experiences. They also give you the opportunity to experience tequila in a whole new way—using only your senses.
Nose: earth / agave cooked / faint lactic / grass/ faint fruit notes / grapefruit/ mint / hay / sage / orange blossom/ hint of cream soda Taste: sweet agave cooked / anise / hint of cinnamon/ hint of pepper/ earth / banana/ melon / apple / grapefruit/ spearmint/ tea / baking spices / cream soda Finish: watery wet cool water mouthfeel / sweet cooked agave, anise, and a light pepper note mesh together in a unified attack on the front of your palate while a battle for the back of your tongue is underway with some earthiness and light citrus notes. An enjoyable experience. This blanco has a great unified taste. There’s a lot of taste notes a seasoned taster can detect, but the overall and simple quality is that the whole taste is unified, balanced, and a discernible as one big note. An enjoyable experience.
