Aroma is full of sweet floral notes, maybe a little berry and definitely cooked agave. Flavor is surprisingly spicy (pepper versus baking-type) after the sweet floral aroma. Peppery spice continues and evolves to an almond bitterness. Nice finish but relatively short. 2023-12-22

Unique profile. Some floral and citrus but also tart and slightly astringent.

Overall this is a very nice blanco. Cooked agave and cinnamon come through on the nose and palate for me. Lots of vegetal notes as well. Very green. It’s very soft with little burn. I like it but the price point and the bottle design are excessive. If this was a $60 or less I think it would get much higher marks from more people.

Agave, citrus, grapefruit and pepper on the nose. Flavor a light agave, strong pepper but lacking additional complexity. This isn’t a bad tequila but for price there are better options. Nice presentation.

The wet part of the cork was black so maybe this fouled the bottle

Dusty, pepper, cinnamon, some mineral notes. A lactic trace. Not real robust aromas or flavor. Tasted Blind at Quinta Don José 8/19/2019

Me encanta el final Largo y seco, interesante textura picante en boca.

Agave and mineral nose with strong character and a lingering finish. At the price point I wish it was more complex, particularly in the aroma.

My favorite part of this tequila is the flavor and finish. Sweet cooked agave, an oily thick mouthfeel, and a long finish. Aroma is muted, some minerals but not much else.

Agave with grassy notes tequila. Easy to sip, smooth, nice bottle. Overpriced and if I am paying , I would pick LALO at half the price.

Tried at a tasting at Specs in Houston Texas Definitely a tequila from 1146 having tried several other blancos from there, it is recognizable with a dominant buttery and cooked agave flavor. While I wasn’t blown away by the flavor to pick up a bottle myself at around $70 since there are so many other amazing blancos out there for less. I would be interested in trying the Anejo or XA, which is what 1146 is known for. Happy to see pretty bottles having additive free tequilas in them to convert some of the Clase Azul/ 1942 people.

11/27/23; At this price point & size of the bottle, I’m guessing this is going after the Clase Azul bar & nightclub crowd. Not much on the nose, very neutral, light citrus; slight burn across the front, light mineral, possible touch of pepper; Across the backend, slight agave, not much more. This bottle has very few characteristics, not a bad idea, just not for me. At $100 USD, this will be my last purchase.

Very nice mouthfeel. Lots of agave, brine and subtle floral & citrus finish. A bit pricey for a blanco but I do find it very pleasant & easy to drink.

Nose is soft and dominated by green vegetables and pepper. Agave is detectable but faint. Flavor is pepper forward to me with the agave seated in back. The finish lingers although i detect a chemical essence (acetone) that was slightly displeasing. I enjoy other expressions from this NOM and had high expectations for this new brand and given the price point.
