This one along with the Reposado are my favorites of the lineup. Obviously price is very high and takes points, but I see how this focused on the luxury market and I’d gladly recommend this over sweeter expensive tequila.
This was the favorite of the line up, 48 months in French oak barrels, a beautiful blend of aged tequilas, delicious, complex, sweet cooked agave shines through the barrel notes, spice, cherry, vanilla and caramel
Respectable Anejo, rested in French oak barrels, lightly sweet, barrel notes, touch of caramel, price is the problem
11 month Reposado, still light in color and barrel notes. Baking spice, light vanilla and caramel. Price lowers the score for me
Lots of cooked agave, pepper and citrus notes, this brand gets a lot of knocks for their price point. I would sip this again
While aficionados tend to prefer blanco tequilas, and imbibers of dark spirits usually gravitate towards añejos, the reposado category is often overlooked.
To help ease your shopping experience, we decided to see how well bottles $50 and under would perform against bottles $100 and over in the only fair way we know how. That’s right, we’re talking about a blind taste test!
The best tequilas to try in 2023 – whether you're a spirit connoisseur or want a delicious beverage – have standout flavors, make sustainable farming efforts, and are made with intricate fermenting-distilling methods.
Blind tastings are the best way to find out what you really like, free of marketing hype, bias, and previous experiences. They also give you the opportunity to experience tequila in a whole new way—using only your senses.
