Blind taste
Baked agave, wood, caramel with a black pepper bike. Flavors complement each other perfectly. Well done.
first thing I notice is that this repo is clear like a blanco. the aroma is crisp, buttery, and full of caramel. great easy nose. smokey, buttery with sweet agave on the tongue. excellent reposado.
Not bad at all not the best to the nose.
Vanilla & alcohol main aromas. Flavors of alcohol and light cooked agave, little burn after taste. Nothing special.
Aroma was agave and oak, tastes of pepper vanilla and agave, finishes clean with little burn.
Strong aroma of cherry, sugar, fruit. Floral scent and candied toffee. Thin body. No initial burn Good mouth feel and even palate Primary flavor vanilla and honeysuckle flower Short and mid length Secondary flavor is subtly oak
Maestro Dobel cooks their piñas in traditional masonry stone ovens, NOT autoclaves, using direct-steam heat for 36 hrs, without steam for 12 hrs (maintaining heat in unopened oven), and an air-cooling process after.
The label says tequila but it’s aroma and flavor is much like a Kentucky Bourbon
A little harsh in the finish, but doable
Just ok. A little alcohol in the aroma. Then nothing special.
Considering the bit of caramel nose it's incredibly hot and lacks complexity.
We didn’t actually have this one.
Nothing stood out as far as aroma for me. Nice light color for a repasado. The taste is fair, not too rough and no burn. The finish has a little heat, almost like a blanco. For the price, I can find better quality repasados but not a bad buy.
Buttery, insistence aroma. Flavour is complex but mellow: melon, pepper, smoke. Short balanced finish with vanilla and caramel.
Very easy drinking smooth on the palate. Aroma wise it’s easy on nose virtually no harsh alcohol (reidel glass) hint of sweetness and green . There’s a slight burst of pepper on the palate fading into a spice like maybe anise or a diluted licorice, finish feels like it’s gonna be of medium length but surprisingly fades much quicker than expected. Most surprising to me is that this is a reposado when I pointed to the bottle on the shelf and told clerk I would take that one , I was convinced by the coloring I was picking a blanco. Wasn’t till I got it home and was reading the label that I discovered it was a reposado, the liquid is crystal clear like a blanco , ive had an extra añejo (Qui) that was this clear but first repo . Overall I am enjoying this .
Not much written up on this but tried it tonight. It's fantastic. Interesting reposado was clear. Very Clean finish. Oak bold taste
For $30-ish bucks it's a great easy drinking tequila with good flavor.
Tested in Neat glass up. Bottle presentation is nice and elegant. I was surprised at my rating on this one because I really like this tequila. It wasn't as complex as I remember and maybe that's alright. I'll continue to drink regularly. Aroma is baked agave, slight caramel and woody. Taste is more of the same with a hint of understated pepper. Finish is shorter than I expected with a delayed pepper warm up. The other flavors disappeared pretty quick.
A smooth and light taste. Not for a lover of Agave flavor but a nice option for the wine drinker movement
This a little different from the standard Dobel this one has a long slight pepper finish a little black Licorice in the front I like the fact that this tequilas flavor last so long I like it!

Agave in the nose, way too sweet for me to properly enjoy
