Robert Denton Import | Floral and citrus notes. Just beautiful. Light mint, anise, followed by white pepper and sweet agave. This bottle holds up over time. Excellent

Fielding & Jones Import: This one greets me with a fresh floral and citrus nose. I taste agave, mint, and light white pepper with an underlying sweetness. This baby still has legs for miles despite being such an old bottle. Finish is a little short and overall it’s not the most complex, but a tasty sipper and amazing that it held up over time this well.

Lote B-1043 bottled on October 2004, Mexican 750ml. version. 40% abv. Aroma: sweet cooked agave! Very light lactic note that is balanced with aromatic anise and minty aroma, it is very expressive, aroma sensation is as if it were at 45%~48% abv. = stronger concentration of aromas, not strong ethanol, celery, the sweet cooked agave notes are so sweet that at the beginning it feels cloying, but 20 minutes in the glass it balances out and becomes very pleasant, white pepper notes appear. A very light sensation of smoke and woody notes appear, also sweetness that is tutti frutti like in the Calle 23 criollo. Very fresh! Palate: sweet cooked agave, white pepper, minty, good sweet & sour balance, anise, slightly earthy. Finish is medium to long, the sweet cooked agave, minty and aromatic anise sensation lingers!

What a surprise! Tried this on a whim and wish I'd bought out the vendor's stock when I had the chance - haven't been able to find this unsung gem since.

very little flavor or sweetness up front. slight pleasant sour taste as you sip. good rough ending, slight burn. agave taste is not clear, rather muddied vegetable.

A really good and complex blanco with a lot of agave.
