Nice aroma, but thin watery texture. It's not a bad añejo, but not particularly unique or memorable, either.

I didn't like the Blanco much, but I had heard so many good things about El Amo that I purchased the Extra Anejo. I shared this with my friends and it was loved by all. so a smooth, slightly sweet tequila went well with them, despite being resopado drinkers. obviously it didn't register as sweet to them as it did to me. I personally like the oak flavors and ultra smooth texture of anejo and extra Anejos from the higher altitude.

Aroma Oak followed by cooked agave, alcohol, and caramel. Taste Oak followed by cooked agave and caramel.

Nice amber color in the glass(on the lighter side) with oily legs. Aroma of vanilla, citrus, alcohol and a hint of agave. Flavor of oak, pepper with a light, lingering finish. Good value compared to other Extra Añejo.

It's hard to find a quality extra-añejo for this price, but El Amo has done it.
