The aroma is sweet and filled with citrus (orange, lemon). Little or no agave present on the nose. Very oily (with long legs showing on the glass) texture starts with just a hint of the sweet citrus that moves quickly to a peppery spice. Medium finish with a nice warm glow. This comes from the same distillery as DeLeon but at a dramatically different price point - $13.99 from Hi-Time. At that price, this is a very good value. 7/25/2015

Very solid, especially at the HiTime close out price.

Mexican 38% abv. versión, marbete is from year 2004, lot codes are erased, tasted on 9-30-24. Aroma: light citrus, hint of acidity, hint of earthiness, hint of agave fibers that don’t seem natural, hint of fruitiness, hint of cooked agave, after 20 minutes the agave fiber aroma becomes more noticeable and sweeter, making it seem more unnatural. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, starts slightly sweet but ends a tad bitter. Finish is medium, hint of citrus, hint of unnatural agave fiber aroma persists but not too long. Although the agave fiber aroma and flavor seem unnatural, however, it is subtle.
