Aroma: mocha, coffee, earth, wood, and agave. Palate; spices, agave , oak wood, nuts, coffee. Finish is long with coffee taste, dark chocolate, and spices. It finish a little bitter for an Añejo.

Loads of pepper and vanilla, it feels like it’s going to be too thin to stick with you long but it hung on for a medium finish. Can’t ask much more of an Añejo at this price point, this is a gem for the bargain bin!

Nose: Ripe fruit, candied fruits and spice. Vanilla and caramel. Aged bourbon peeking through with a hint of grass and earth. Flavors: Butterscotch, caramel, agave and sweet/hot jerk seasonings. Barrel tannins and bourbon roll in next. Fairly oily with a black pepper finale. Finish: Heat and sweet - likely to please to newer aficionados.

Bourbon forward with a ton of caramel and butterscotch. Maybe some color added to this to obtain the golden color but the rub test for glycerin comes out clean. Pretty typical añejo profile and nothing offensive make this worth sipping if you can find it.

Sweet aroma with a tickle of booze. Very floral with lots of caramel notes. Fruity on the plate with barrel influence on the back palate. Smooth to finish, slightly bitter from barrel influence.

This is ok. It’s nice to have a cheap Anejo in a relatively respectable bottle. But it has a burnt taste on the finish that I’m not a huge fan of.

I found the nose to be a bit thin, some citrus and soft honey sweetness. A bit hot, but it helps show some true agave character through the finish.

Gives a slight heat on the tongue. Quite spicy which is probably where the heat comes from. Leaves an oily feel in the mouth and the taste lingers. Decent tequila for the price.

Grew on me over time. A little smoke in the nose, but smooth overall. Not an anejo just for sipping - definitely tastes of tequila with some influence of the wood - a hint of vanilla, but not a major contributor to the profile.
