Nose: Vibrant agave and fruit up front. Cinnamon, cloves, vanilla, toasted nuts and mellow oak. Wet rocks and a hint of bread dough. A slight apple cider undercurrent. Flavor: Vanilla, honey, caramel and white pepper. Agave and barrel spice in harmony. An exciting profile. Finish is lengthy and well balanced.

Aroma of sweet baked agave, apple and wood . The well balanced flavors are a wonderful combination. Smooth, yet with enough spice that one knows this is tequila Priced in the mid $20s, this tequila is a steal.

Mexican 38% abv. versión, Edición Limitada No. 0320, marbete is from 2004, tasted on 10-12-24. Color: light brown. Aroma: light cooked agave with a hint of sweetness, light acidity, hint of citrus, light wood note, light caramel, hint of anise, hint of vanilla. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, good sweet and sour balance, wood note is slightly more noticeable on the palate. Finish is medium to medium long, hint of sweet cooked agave, light caramel, hint of vanilla with light wood notes persist.

I was lucky to find a solid source in Cancún for this elusive value bottle. I'm a blanco guy but had to try this, and I'm not disappointed. Muted agave with sweet notes of apple, cinnamon, vanilla, slight herbs and pepper. Smooth and nice finish. Not confirmed additive free, and first glasses seemed a little artifical tasting, but that has gone away. Decent bottle at $35. But I paid $280 pesos ($16.40), which is amazing. Bringing one home, and planning to drink it over time to see how much it evolves after opening.

It’s delicious and an excellent value but alas… it is NOT additive free. It is however my número uno for taste and value. It’s hard to find even here in Jalisco, but worth looking. UPDATE 22/05/24 you just never know… found it on sale in Chapala, JAL for 250 MX (with a free 1.5 liter Topo Chico). Even at today’s crappy exchange rate that’s only about $15 USD. What!!!

Tierra Azteca 38% alcohol vol. Nice agave aroma with a hint of floral and cinnamon. Great oily silky mouth feel, cooked agave dominated the pallet followed by cinnamon and a mixed berries. The finish is medium to long . This tequila is amazing!! and yes very hard to find.

Nice surprise. Living in Roatan, nice to get an unfamiliar option that hits a home run.

It's quite floral and has a lot of vanilla in the aroma/flavour and it also has a bitter flavor of burt toffee. It's very woody to be a reposado and it's actually a bit too much raw wood.
