Bit of bite for an anejo but enjoyable. The bottle is a keeper and helps it score extra!

The finish changes with the third sip, at first more acidic than expected but then mellows to a thick, lingering coat of caramel.

Very peppery, but in a great way that doesn't really start until it is past your mouth and into your throat. First tasted in Zihuatanejo, which certainly enhances the flavor. Must find one of the Picasso painted bottles...

NOM 1437 NOT 1438. Soft barrel aroma with peppery undertone. Caramel and pepper flavor. Surprisingly light on the barrel. Nice warm lingering finish.

Cake batter forward on the nose. No agave evident in the smell. Vanilla and pepper flavor overpowers the agave. It's a nice drink, it's just not traditional agave forward tequila.

tried it a second time and the aroma changed after letting it breathe: a sweet vanilla tone that can be a great addition at the end of a meal.

I gave this an 86. I like it. But it says I gave it a 93??

Hints of vanilla and spice, initially smooth but then found this to have a bite and burn after two sips and was disappointed for it being an añejo and the cost.

Tasted okay at first, but after a few sips it has an overwhelming taste of cake batter that tastes artificial.

Excellent nose. Balanced on palate. Vanilla on the nose with slight baking spice. Almost has a slightly sweet aroma. On the palate is a slightly sweet beginning turning into a hot finish of alcohol. Lingering finish with nice acidity.

Another nice bottle for the shelf with many variations if your a bottle collector. The tequila is smooth too.

A superb tequila in a beautiful hand painted bottle. Definite hints of caramel on the finish. Slight sweet taste but subtle. Simply a great tequila!
