From a bottle at least 8 years old this añejo is quite spicy in the mouth and a more aged version of the reposado. Some bitterness holds this back a bit.

I rarely comment on the visuals of a spirit, but I was surprised by this. I poured it into my glass and could see through and to the bottom. I also rarely comment on the bottle, but the shape of this bottle is very hard to pour from. Nose: Very unflattering. Has an acetone smell mixed with some fake seeming caramel notes. Quite disappointed in the nose. Palate: Incredibly hot. The alcohol hits your palate immediately and doesn't leave. This seems much higher proof than it is. There are little noticeable flavors, possibly some agave and caramel. Finish: This burns in the back of your throat going down. No new tastes emerge. This is a surprisingly not terrible experience. However, it isn't a particularly enjoyable one. I am overall quite disappointed with this tequila, especially considering what I paid for it. While in almost never do this, I may try this tequila with an ice cube to see if it makes it more drinkable and less higher proof. Side note: the bottle is terrible to pour from.

Very nice aromatics, earthy minerality like petrol(or alsace Riesling) in very good way, soft holiday spice. taste follows thru & good finish with salinity.
