Tons of barrel influence at work here, I’m really not getting any agave personality. It’s smooth and easy so reminds me of Irish whiskey, it’s great but just not for tequila ratings.

Mexican version 35%. Very light in color. Not a big nose. Light caramel fruit and alcohol. Opens up a bit with fruit, nuts, spices and some bitterness. Finishes with more bitter notes and warming jalapeño fire. A good value in Mexico: $275 pesos. I added points for value but subtracted points for bitterness.

Mexico version (35%). Aromas of pepper, baked agave and citrus. The pepper and agave flavors give way to a honey and brown sugar finish. Medium in body, light in color, with a rather long and pleasant finish. Purchased in Mexicali, MX for $18, about one-third the US price. At $18 this is about as good as it gets. A subtle and enjoyable tequila.

The smell is agave forward and will draw you in and the initial taste is very sweet. However the aftertaste is very menthol-like reminiscence of a cough syrup you hate taking. While the menthol is working its way through your tastebuds a waxy film begins to form on the inside of your cheeks and along your teeth. I do not recommend a pour.

I have tried to like this more than once and it tastes so bad. Find it very thin and very hot, not even in the realm of smooth.

Mexican 35% abv. versión, lote: 15112302, bottled on 16-03-2016, tasted on 2-11-24. Color: yellow to light yellow. Aroma: raw agave, intense light herbal notes, hint of mint, light dirt sensation, hint of acidity. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, through my retronasal I smell a stagnant water sensation which is not pleasant. Finish is medium, hint of raw agave, herbal notes, hint of earthiness with acidic notes persist but not too long.

I have had plenty of tequilas in my life, and this is by far the smoothest I ever had. Everyone I let try it agrees 5 out of 5 ..

Los Arango Reposado $50USD (Virginia) An enjenjoyed reposado but just slightly over valued. An easy sipper. I will echo Remy Newland's notes, but I rated the US 40% ABV higher than the Mexican 35% ABV she wrote about.

nose has alight agave. heavy citrus and rancid oranges/lemons on the palate the ethanol took over and the stale lemons.. not good at all... the finish is harsh... really wanted to like this. I've had this bottle for about 5 months. disappointed by the pretty little bottle..

Slightly sweet nose , mild agave, smooth drink , mild sweet , some fruit , could use more agave flavor, overall not bad.

Earthy, stale lemon sitting out, touch pepper. On taste, soft savory, restrained sweetness, little bit tannic, soft dry finish.

House mixer that can be drank straight too. One of the original 100% agave Tequilas available at LCBO for a respectable price. Nice agave nose with floral notes. Floral notes follow in the flavour. Finish is medium with some white pepper.

The only way it could be worse is if they spelled tequila wrong. Edit: 6.21.21. I don’t understand, this Tequila tasted like I imagine drinking Acetone would taste like. Today I tried it again and it was soft, smooth and slightly citrus sweet. I feel like a heel bashing it. I edited 31 to a 58.

It's been a long time since a tequila has insulted me this bad. Same NOM as Corralejo so I figured this would be some pricey next level. Couldn't be more wrong. Its trash. The nose is almost as offensive as the juice. Chemicals and medicinal. The flavor is the same but with a long lasting bug spray finish. 40 bucks. I'm shocked no one has mentioned how terrible the bottle is. Its awkward big square shape is weird to pour. Top is wood, leading you to think quality but turns out to be a screw on.
