NOM 1603 | Ethanol on the nose, some agave. Maybe a citrus note? Nothing really stands out. On the palate some agave and a bit of bitter ethanol. Honestly an okay-ish mixer, not a sipper by any means. Very thin, not a ton going on in the finish, and too hot to be a sipper. Not terrible in a margarita though.
NOM 1603 | All around fair to good. There’s nothing special in the aroma or taste and there’s nothing bad either. There’s a little leftover sweetness in the finish that’s a little odd but overall this is a decent tequila! 2 points extra for bargain!

The smell is a bit fruity, and the taste has agave with a bit of alcohol heat. Not the worst, but you can do better if you're on a budget.
NOM 1603 | Green bell pepper, lots of alcohol, raw agave, citrus, herbal.
NOM 1143 | This is one of those times in life you get what you pay for.....I’ve been after it all day by the pool so this probably getting an elevated rating. Something off in the nose, smells like marzipan(English dad, not a pleasant Xmas memory) and scones. Flavour is ok, I can pick out a bit of agave but this takes a wide swing to the sweet side, not a welcome direction. Aftertaste gets hot & boozy, all of this leads to the conclusion that this is intended/marketed as a well brand and not a sipper. I’m pretty sure I paid $10 for this so hence the elevated quality rate, it’s pretty tough to beat 100% agave at those prices!!
Green Cement Alcohol
for the price it's decent! okay mixer in ranch water..
NOM 1603 | Bought to have cheep tequila for partys and Margaritas. Works well for that, beyond margaritas and shots it is undrinkable.
Very smooth, no burn. Great for shots or mixers
NOM 1603 | It almost has a thick or oily viscosity feeling to it and I’m not too crazy about that. Agave flavor is good maybe some citrus and spice lingering. Would I buy it again, probably not
Drain pour. But fine for mixing
This rating is for mixing only. I’m a private bartender for events, people always ask me to serve frozen margaritas, now with that being said I recommend my clients who are having private events such weddings etc, to purchase this tequila, I’ve come to the realization that when I do the frozen margaritas, the agave flavor still comes through. I’ve done events where clients buy Hornitos or other brands and the final frozen margarita doesn’t taste like agave at all, it just tastes sweet. In my opinion this Tequila is good for the price if you’re going to have an event and you have a limited budget. Obviously wouldn’t put it up there with brands like Ocho, 7 Leguas, G4, Fortaleza etc but for the price and quality in mixing cocktails I’ll keep recommending it to my clients if they have to buy a bunch for events.
NOM1603 Nose: ethanol alcohol, maybe a little green. Not much going for it. Taste: pretty watery, not a whole lot of complexity at all. Sharp and hot, but typical cheap blanco. Not a lot of distinguishable flavor. Overall: great mixer and Definitely not a sipper but great in margs or mixed blanco drinks.
NOM 1603 | Decent blanco for the price, I like it best with club soda, ice and a little lime. Great budget buy for mixing.
Not great, not horrible.
So my go-to tequila (Kirkland Silver from Costco) has been repeatedly sold out lately, much to my great distress. So a friend who was a bartender for 10 years recommended this one. I must be spoiled by the deliciousness of the Kirkland (it is amazing, try it!) but this one doesn't hold a candle to it as far as drinkability or flavor. Upon opening the Exotico, you do smell a lovely bouquet of aromas, but the pleasantries stop there. You smell a high amount of grass and a strong peppery scent, enough to make you sneeze if you inhale too deeply. With those scents is an underlying sweet smell, maybe the agave. This is still a good tequila, only $14 for 750ml at Walmart, but it is HARSH. It says 100% agave on the label, but it does not say 100% blue agave like the Kirkland does. So I'm guessing based off the taste there is a difference btwn it being all blue agave vs regular agave (?) Anyway, on to the sip. Sipping tequila straight is my standard cocktail. I'm in love with tequila, tbh lol. So when you sniff the glass it still smells delicious enough to get your hopes up, the vibrant spicy green smells happy, however as you taste it that happy grassy aroma is quickly dwarfed by the flaming scorch of the ethanol/alcohol upon tasting. I was very shocked & all I could think of, as it burned down through my insides, was what my dad used to joking always say in such circumstances, "Well that'll put hair on your chest!" Funnier bc I am a girl. I will be checking first thing tomorrow, but yes, this tequila, having the peppery aroma/flavor already is then without warning accelerated to 160mph by the harshness of the alcohol bite. You do actually feel as if you've been stung. Unfairly, the burn is oh so real and sticks to your insides for so long afterwards, that any buzz you might hope to relax by is pumped out of your system by adrenaline. So I hope the Exotico folks go back to the drawing board and figure a way to make this scorcher more smooth. I appreciate the complexity and uniqueness of the grassy scent etc., but drinking this is not really enjoyable or relaxing due to the heavy-handed burn.
NOM 1603 | Aroma is filled with agave and minerality with hints of grapefruit and alcohol. Flavor is agave and pepper with thin mouthfeel. Finish is peppery and short.
Pretty good for a budget bottle, the metal cap could always be replace with a cork of some kind. If that change were to happen I’m sure I’d rate higher. Nice bottle for the freezer
NOM 1603 | Almost without aroma, little flavor but drinkable finish. Maybe ok for a flavored drink.
My #1 go-to budget tequila for mixing. On the nose: Medium alcohol, cooked agave and pepper up front. Vegetal presence with minerality, olive, and vanilla. On the palate: Medium alcohol and buttery vegetal flavors up front. Citrus and pear on the back end. Medium finish with a nice peppery bite.
Great mixer tequila for your Palomas and Margaritas. Usually on sale for under $20. I really don’t mind this stuff. Blanco is fresh with some agave and a little burn on the finish, again great for a Margarita with several fresh lime juices.
This tastes bad but smells worse!! The upside to this is it mixes EXTREMELY well. I couldn’t stomach drinking this straight.
Taste is mild but clean. Decent agave flavor. It's very cheap, probably one of my favorite bargain tequilas. Good for margs or parties.
