NOM 1586 | Nose: agave cooked / pepper / lactic funk / caramel/ vegetal / earth / herbal/ melon / lime / lemongrass / hay / nutmeg/ hint of chocolate Taste: sweet cooked agave / pepper/ alcohol/ earth / melon/ lime / tea / bell pepper/ nutmeg/ chocolate/ molasses/ hazelnut/ honey Finish: an unforgiving bitterness snd alcohol take over as pilot an co-pilot on this trip across your palate. The mouthfeel is good with a nice clean finish, except bitter alcohol. This reposado is quite good, until it’s suddenly not. It’s not bad, it’s just that you can taste the potential of this brand/expression in every pour, but the alcohol and bitterness really pull down my score.
This repo was a very light amber in the glass. Aroma of cooked agave, cinnamon and oak. Flavor of cooked agave, black pepper and vanilla. The finish was light to medium but nothing memorable.
NOM 1414 | Blind tasted: Another surprise! Old school reposado framework and rich in flavor! Wished they continued to this at NOM 1414
NOM 1586 | Tasting flight @ Little Conejo More of a mixer than a sipper, basic framework tequila
NOM 1586 | Process is good but definitely have the lactic mustiness to it. Starts off with agave and eggs then when it opens it goes to a nice agave sweetness, a ripe fruit with a little to no egg nose to it. Taste isn’t bad agave, caramel, black pepper little fruit I’m the middle (apricot) to it. The fruit really rounds this one out and brings it together. With a long finish
NOM 1414 | I did a quick side by side comparison to the current Chamucos from #1586. The older #1414 was bolder, richer and more nuanced. If you see some from #1414, it’s probably worth a shot.
NOM 1586 | Cinnamon and vanilla on the nose
NOM 1433 | Slight agave on the nose, very buttery finish
NOM 1586 | I’m a fan. Heavy on the vanilla, but well balanced. Sweet but still gets a pop of agave
NOM 1558 | What a turnaround from the Blanco, this tequila is big and bold, it would make intense cocktails! Earthy, herbal and tons of pepper. Not for the faint hearted.
NOM 1586 | Nose: Fruity with prominent oak for a repo. Pleasant barrel spices: cinnamon, anise, cardamom and vanilla. Flavors: There is a borderline woody harshness going on. A touch of bitterness accompanying the pepper - but this mellows as it opens up. On the flip side, semi oily mouth feel with vanilla and caramel, help to pull it all together.
NOM 1501 | Flat cola, nocina, plum candy, Saigon cinnamon
NOM 1558 | NOM 1558. NOM 1558. NOM 1558. Interesting tequila has a few different NOMs. I compare it to some of the better stuff I've had.
NOM 1146 | NOM 1146.
Good sipping ok finish, good wood flavor for a repo nom 1558
Too harsh.bananas. Lots of heat back of throat.
Nose is cooked agave, vanilla and oak. Taste is cooked agave, pepper and caramel. The glass was a Chisholm Standard Proof Jarrito.
Smokey profile with earthy tones rather than sweeter notes. Me gusto mucho.
Oaky aroma with pepper, and taste has a peppery finish with notes of vegetal, oak, and agave. Pretty smooth with a light finish and burn. Decent Reposado for the price.
Caramel, oak on the nose. Sweet cocked agave and caramel. Black pepper notes. great for the price.
NOM 1433 | Mexican 38% abv. versión, LOTE CHR08/07, bottled on ENV03/07/07, tasted on 8-11-24. Color: very light yellow. Palate: light sweet cooked agave, quite herbal, light vanilla, light acidity, hint of citrus, hint of fruitiness, light earthiness, hint of coastal & waxy note like Clynelish Scotch whisky, after 20 minutes in the glass the citrus note becomes more intense. Light peach. Hint of pepper spiciness. Light orange. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, good sweet sour and citrus balance, waxy, ends a tad dry. I smell light soapy aromas through my retronasal. Finish is medium to almost medium long, light fruitiness, light peach, light waxiness with light earthiness persists.
NOM 1586 | Out with friends…. Initial tasting, pending further review.
NOM 1586 | Aroma: agave, oak, caramel, vanilla, cinnamon Taste: agave, oak, caramel and pepper Finish: smooth and balanced finish
NOM 1586 | Fruit funk, oak, cheese,

NOM 1586 | Something to put out front, I do like malolactic funk in my tequila. Many do not so my rating may not reflect your preference and that is okay. Also, between the Diablo and Anejo, the Repo isn’t at the same level for me. The nose is nice as I do pick up that malolactic note. Yes, there is also agave. Just not much else I am picking up. I do get the barrel notes if vanilla, oak and caramel but they are not prevalent. The taste is sweet agave first. Followed by pepper and caramel, vanilla and oak. The malolactic smell is less pronounced in the taste. This is good but not as good as many other repos in its price or as good as its sister expressions in the Diablo and Anejo.
