$6 neat, not a 100% Agave juice. Aroma; sweet agave, white pepper, bay leave, lilac and cloves. Flavor: cooked agave, semi sweet, spices, chilly rojo, white pepper, dough, smoke, sugar cane, sweet, pepper, unpleasant alcohol, ripe zucchini pumpkin, vegetal. Finish is bitter with no legs and definitely not a sipper.

NOM 1110-I "Producido y embotellado para Seagram de México S.A. de C.V. Por Tequila Orendain de Jalisco S.A. de C.V." 38% abv., no marbete, looks like a 90’s bottling, has a black plastic twist cap, tasted on 3-26-24. Aroma: cooked agave, green vegetal note, slightly earthy, hint of dirt. Oily sensation from green vegetal note. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, raw agave, alcohol sensation is medium. Thick mouthfeel. Finish is medium to long, cooked agave, green vegetal note, hint of dirt note persists.

A mixer for clubs, if that.

Not bad for a mixto, much better than Jose .

Not too bad. As you know I'm not a fan of blanco's but I will admit I wasn't turned off by this one. I will do this one over most bar blanco's. It was very smooth on the intake and finish, more sweetness than pepper to me.

In Defense of Mixtos, The Most Unloved of All Tequilas

Cheap? Yep. But there’s quality and history to be found in this agave spirit.
