Sweet nose with agave and raspberries alongside light baking spices. This carries over into the taste with some additional barrel notes like vanilla, oak, and nuts. The finish is long and spicy. The only thing I don't like is that the Blanco has such a great value but this doesn't (at least in the US).
This review is over a older Cascahuin small semi squared bottle from the late 90s. Nice earthy aroma with a good precede of cooked agave. A hint of vanilla and a power heat kick towards the end. Very enjoyable.
Soft, inviting nose pulls you right in with roasted agave & caramel. Builds up slowly on my palette, starts with just a bit of sweetness and builds up to a boozy kick in the ass on its way out. Perfect for novice tequila fans, just a lot to like without any fuss.
I really like this. Agave, citrus, tree bark, pepper and apple blossoms on the nose. Palate has agave, light oak, cranberries, peach and bananas with a finish of salted peanuts.
Honey, white flowers, windex
Originally sampled with Salvador and Tetsu at Distillery visit Sept 2018.
Striking nose. Agave, berries, banana, and warm spices reminiscent of cookies baking. Flavors follow nicely with vanilla, almond and pepper. Creamy anise. Lingering pepper finish with a hint of orange peel. This is a very solid economical tequila.
Older bottle from around 1998 or so. MX bottle at 38% ABV with no tax stamp. Sip it if you find it.
Sweet aroma Peppery finish Not super caramely

Carmel scent…Carmel flavor and a little smoky. Lot 58
Light agave & cinnamon nose, same on the palate with some oak notes at mid-palate, somewhat short finish but overall very pleasant!
licorice
Can’t smell much, but taste heavy caramel notes, though prefer the blanco to this one, but the finish is great!
Tremendous reposado that starts off with a subtle, yet beautiful nose then hits you with outstanding flavor and a strong finish. Easily one of my top 5 reposados. One downside is its price point ( $59 @ Sip Tequila). Aroma: Subtle with a mild sweetness. Cooked agave, baking spices, and fruits (berries, banana, and pear.) Traces of almond and nutmeg. Taste: Cooked agave, baking spices and berries with a wonderful warmth. Traces of the Tennessee Whiskey barrel, chestnuts, citrus, orange peel, with earthy minerality. This hits all my buttons. The balance is incredible. Finish: Sensational. The sweet notes and the warm cinnamon notes are in perfect harmony. The finish lasts forever.
Caramel Sweet Butterscotch Pine Woody
Smooth, caramel
Light on the nose with cooked agave, Cooked agave, butter, very light pepper. Clean finish, lingering cooked agave very slight pepper then vanishes. Light in color and flavor, a nice entry to Reposado tequila.
Sweeter taste, oak flavour, finish is sweet.
On the nose I initially get cooked agave, lemon zest, and baking spice (mainly allspice and clove). coming back to the nose after some tasting I get cedar, and fruity esters. On the palate I get bitter oak upfront. It then transitions to some sweeter notes like vanilla, cinnamon, butterscotch, and anise. The finish is long with lingering notes of oak and anise. For $70 Cnd this is a very solid reposado. It doesn't do any one thing spectacularly, it just does everything very well.
vanilla
Not much on the nose - but damn, that finish is quite something. The flavour almost to pause for a second at the very end to let you see it more clearly before it dissipates. Beautiful.

Citric aromas blended with strong cooked agave, with a pleasant minerality, and a touch of spice and herbs. Clean and slightly sweet across the palate. A great finish, a burst of agave coupled herbal/basil notes with light oak, and hints of spice and vanilla. A very nicely balanced reposado.
