Floral oak on the nose. Flavors open up with oak, pepper, grass, nutmeg, and a touch of honey. This isn’t your typically sweet XA.

Now this is how an extra añejo should taste. Agave and oak. Caramel and barrel spice of cardamom and mace along with hints of vanilla and a creme brule. Salud

Love it. The nose and body have a nice spice not a peppery type. For being an XA the barrel doesn't influence it as much I'm used to. Floral and spices and it's as if all the barrel did was smooth it out. Nice long finish.

Marbete is from 2007, tasted 10-7-23. Color: light yellow. Aroma: cooked agave, red apples, pear, a touch of vanilla, after 30 minutes in the glass a light herbaceous note emerges otherwise it is very fruity, a touch of mint, light acidity. It is so fruity that it might overpower agave sweetness. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, good sweet sour & acidic balance. At the end it has a white grape aroma. Finish is medium to medium long, cooked agave with fruity and white grape notes persist.

I usually like my tequilas with vanilla and caramel flavors, but this tequila is amazing especially for the price. Oak and pepper flavor.
