Lot 13 6/12/06: Caramel, citrus and agave peeking through, it’s a decadent nose. Butterscotch, spice and pepper, low heat with a medium finish and does offer some lingering heat.

Bottle from 2006. Very light aromas of roast agave and oak. In the mouth this añejo blooms with caramel, agave, barrel spice and a nice viscous feel on the tongue. The finish is long and nicely sweet with the roast agave notes on the nose hanging around till the end.

Slight baked agave aroma with just a hint of butterscotch and oak. Short finish with a bit of numbness on the tongue.

Light Añejo, light agave on the tongue, not very complex, but some spice on the front with caramel on the backend, each fades after a few. Enjoyable.

A very light anjeo with to much alcohol aroma for my liking. More burn then most anjeos I've had at this price range. Worth a try but not for me.

Seemed light for an añejo. Had a bit of a light aroma and hit of alcohol up front. good flavors and pretty smooth aftertaste.

The nose and flavor are rich and not overpowering. Unfortunately it is a little syrupy and I was unable to enjoy fully.

Review #119 - Fina Estampa Tequila Anejo

After trying the blanco and reposado, I had to try the anejo. It's a bit light for an anejo and is probably my least favorite of the 3, but it's still a good member of a good line.
