NOM 1548 | Nose: Initially, agave and spice. A touch floral - citrus blossoms? Ripe pineapple and limes. Some earthy, grassy notes. Flavor: Robust pepper, sweet cooked agave. Finishes with some lingering pepper and light vanilla.

NOM 1079 | NOM 1079 Aroma is full of agave with a bit of citrus and saline. Flavor has an immediate pepper-based spice with a slight note of cinnamon or mint. The finish is short. 7/4/2017 (vertical tasting)

NOM 1079 | Lote 98 from NOM 1079. Fairly viscous this has an abundance of roast agave and not a little alcohol on the finish. Rough and rustic this blanco is a quick slap to the tongue. I like it quite a bit.

The aroma is a little weak but I get a subtle note of agave and it's also a bit medicinal and earthy. The flavor, on the other hand, is anything but weak. Immediately you get a punch of pepper that continues to grow as you swallow.

Not a pleasant aroma off the bottle. Tasted after aeration. Medicinal/mineral and pepper aroma off the top of the glass. Pearls hang and drop slowly. Light citrus flavor. Lingering numbing and pepper finish. Pleasant spice aroma from drained glass. L011 - 375ml wax-sealed sampler bundled with the 750ml repo (same #) in the clear bottle. Purchased at Old Town Liquor & Deli

NOM 1548 | Mexican 40% abv. blue bottle versión, lote: No. LOB0322, bottled on 19-05-2022, tasted on 6-7-24. Aromas: hint of cooked agave, light acidity, hint of citrus, hint of sourness, after 20 minutes in the glass an aromatic agave fiber aroma emerges that is quite similar to artificial agave aromas… Palate: confirms aromas perceived, also the artificial agave fiber aroma, ends quite bland. Quite intense agave fiber-like aroma through my retronasal. Finish is short to medium, the artificial agave aroma pretty much dominates, ends slightly bitter and a tad astringent.

Solid cooked agave nose, sweet at that. Citrus, some mint detected and a little spice; Quite pleasant. Pepper, citrus on the tongue; not overwhelmed by alcohol. Over all, a pretty decent tequila in a unique bottle. Mine was from a relative who had it from years back and was cobalt glass.

NOM 1548 | Just oily ethyl alcohol on the nose, touch of spice(cloves, cinnamon). Minimal sugar. Little to no front end on the palette, slides right to the finish which is mostly hot and a bit rubbery.

A nice solid blanco that is great value. I've certainly had better. But this is a blanco that is pretty good for the price. There is a slight alcohol taste to it; but also nice agave taste and nose. Pretty easy sipping with little burn. Easy to recommend as a rather safe blanco. That may turn some people off since there isn't anything very special about it; but there is something to be said for a nice solid blanco that has nice agave notes that isn't crazy in price.
