Mexican 38% abv. version, marbete is from 2007, tasted on 12-28-23. Color: light yellow. Aroma: light sweet cooked agave, slightly fruity, citrus, distilled sorghum aroma, a hint of pineapple, slightly minty. Slightly herbaceous. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, good sweet sour and citrus balance, fresh & crisp. Finish is medium to medium long, cooked agave, slightly citrus, light herbs & sweet sorghum distillate notes persist. At the very end a hint of vanilla.
Revisited 9/22, oily in the glass and mouth. Aromas of agave& spice. Fantastic flavors of agave, cinnamon, vanilla, almond. Lingering finish with light black pepper. Truly enjoy this reposado!
Excellent disappears on the tongue, ignites the tongue afterwards for a prolonged ride
Nose: Ripe agave, dark cherry, tropical fruits, toasted nuts, minerals and ripe cheese. Flavor: Oily, big agave notes, almonds and vanilla with moderate black pepper in the background.
