This is a mixto that brings back memories from college... not good! Aroma is alcohol and medicinal. Not getting any agave in the nose. Flavor is astringent, some artificial pepper spiciness and acetone. The finish was almost non-existent. The diffuser and column still shine through... and not in a good way. At least it's better than the Gold version I remember.

This tasted okay on my first sip. As it opened up however it went downhill quick. I was unable to finish it.

I just feel like maybe the fact that this bottle has been sitting in my room for 5 years, it might just taste better than normal.

It's a simple silver with nothing really going on in it. it's inexpensive but I'll pay the little more for Don Julio Blanco if I wish to drink a silver. I don't see it add any value to a mixed drink instead I would go with the Cuervo gold in it's place.

Very medicinal, acetone, ethanol aroma dominants coming right off the nose and the alcohol is definitely dominant not the agave which is barely there. Than again it’s not a 100% agave product so you get what you pay for: for any tequila enjoyer it’s “drinkable” but not enjoyable, deserves to be in a cocktail, barely at that.

LOT: 064-20 Blind tasting with: Centenario Plata, Hacienda de Tepa Blanco and Antiguo de Herradura Plata View: Totally transparent, tears that correspond to a distillate of this grade. Freshly served; Aroma: something chemical like acetone and a little astringency like wood. A little salty, but the most noticeable thing is definitely the chemical smell. Very unpleasant. Taste: The chemical taste is the same as the aroma, I have never tried acetone but I guess it tastes similar to this. No other outstanding flavor. A bit of lemon-like citrus. Very volatile and subtle aftertaste that goes away in a few seconds, a little citric like lemon peel. I let it rest for 10 minutes to open aromas and flavors. Aroma: The aroma remains the same. Taste: I think it got worse. This is an offence to the palate.

Lote: L05821, bottled on 07-08-2021, Mexican 35% abv. version, tasted on 10-7-23. Aroma: light sweet cooked agave, light anise, light acidity, a touch of citrus, after 15 minutes in the glass a hint of orange peel emerges. Palate: light cooked agave, light black pepper, pretty bland compared to the nose, thin. Finish is short, I can feel a very light note of cooked agave with a touch of pepper in my mouth.

Obviously not designed to be sipped and it should not be. The smell is repulsive and burns the nose. Taste is like a chemist tried to replicate a tequila. Strong alcohol and medicinal flavor. Finish is the worst part.

Already a bad start with alcohol burn on the nose. Chemical masks some agave odour. More going on in the aroma than the taste. Bitter and flavourless. Got this as a gift; only reason I'm tasting it.
