Blind tastings are the best way to find out what you really like, free of marketing hype, bias, and previous experiences. They also give you the opportunity to experience tequila in a whole new way—using only your senses.
I do not care for el jimador and never have liked it since i started drinking Tequila 20 yrs ago. my rating here on TMM is for their current diffuser crap. this being said, I tried a sample of the 2001 blanco, thanks to junior zander. here's my review for the 2001 blanco... the nose is fruity and pleasant. some yeast, a little agave on the palate and some pepper on the finish. I would rate this 2001 expression low 80s, which is much different than I rate their current juice. Note: Herradura was all stone/brick ovens and roller mill prior to the diffuser. Apparently, they installed the diffuser around 2001. so zander got one of the last good bottles!
