Lots of pear in aroma. It could be from additives to mask the diffuser.

Bland taste in the sense that it doesn’t have a lot of flavor but I do smell some artificial flavors Tastes a bit medicinal or soapy

Better than Jose Gold. 100% agave. But much burn (and you can smell the burn). Go with Espolon for a few more bucks.

Nothing special, fairly smooth for price and doesn’t have much flavor

This smells terrible. Chemicals mixed with heads and tails defects. Rated blind. No thanks - a perfect example of a diffuser-made product.

This isn’t as bad I remember, tons of mint and sweetness. Makes a decent margarita but don’t serve this neat to anyone who you want to come back to your house.

I get it, it’s a well brand blanco. I do appreciate that they switched to 100% agave several years back but it is still just that. Well tequila.

Aroma is very citric and a little sweet, overall not too bad. Taste is quite bitter and a lot of alcohol. Finish is a little better than the taste but still alcohol. This one is not a sipper! However it is actually an ok budget option for party margaritas. Currently online in Germany it's almost the same price mixto Tequilas, so it's obviously a better option than those to make cocktails with! Bought online in Germany for 18€. NOM 1119

This is my go to Blanco/Plata for margaritas and palomas when I want a more smoked agave flavor & aroma, especially at the price of around $20.

Sad to say, but this once decent quality tequila has been completely ruined by Herradura's adoption of diffuser technology. Unless of course you prefer your tequila with an overpowering aroma and flavor of rubbing alcohol and astringents, with obvious additives to try to make the contents of the bottle more palatable..... What was once a decent tequila is now undrinkable....

When I couldn't find the Jose Cuervo Traditional Silver I liked for easy sipping and for my margaritas. I looked at the El Jimador Blanco, I was mostly looking for an inexpensive tequila for my mix drink, I don't buy expensive when it's going into a margarita though the tequila does make a difference. The El Jimador tasted like lighters fluid, I couldn't drink it straight and that lighter fluid taste made my margarita undrinkable. I had to give that bottle away. True story, only the names had been changed to protect the innocent.

I would only use this to margaritas for those who do not know better.

Agave, alcohol and pepper on the nose and finish. Ok in mixed drinks but flavor can be strong/harsh.
