Too light for an añejo, seems like a reposado. It has interesting notes of vainilla, caramel, spices. Diffuser tequila, no thanks.

At Señor Tequila $15/neat. Nose; sweet with cinnamon, lime peel, sea salt, and earth. Palate is missing the aroma, but with some citrus and mineral flavors added. Finish is short with citrus and earth tones.

Roasted agave, easy to drink, nothing stands out, warm. Some bitterness. Some oak.

Drinking neat. Light for an anejo, but solid overall. Light, almost fruity aroma and flavor. Nice, reasonably smooth finish.

To me this tequila was a little rough for an anejo. Perhaps I was expecting too much, but it was more like a reposado to me.

Nose was more spicy than I was expecting. Smells and tastes more like a reposado. Heavy spice and more harsh for an anejo. Expecting something more smooth or more vanilla. Too much spice. Other buys in this price range that will deliver expected results.

Maybe this is just after drinking a lot of other great tequilas, but I was very disappointed with this Añejo. More of a sharp blanco/reposado flavor without any of the aged warm taste I associate with Añejos.

Review #92 - Peligroso Tequila Anejo

Nice agave aroma for an anejo. A touch of nuttiness, ripe fruit, spice and oak as well. A friend described it as "mini-donuts" too.
