Excellent repo from the master Distiller of Corrido. But the añejo is a level above this one.

Green agave, caramel, floral notes, sweetener. Sweet in the mouth with astringent finish. Not my jam.

Melon, apple, cream soda aromas. Cooked agave and vanilla flavor. It’s got a light color but smells and tastes like it should be much darker. Hardly any finish at all, fades super fast. Probably a good product for a new tequila drinker, but aficionados may be disappointed.

Nose: Big fruity agave assault right off the bat, followed by butterscotch and citrus. Followed by vanilla and some earthy notes. Flavor: Buttery in the mouth. Fruit tree floral nuances. Baking spices, licorice and moderate black pepper notes. And the agave keeps on shining. Finish: Balanced. Finesse. And nice tongue numb.

Oak, cinnamon and lots of licorice in the aroma. In the mouth there is that oily, buttery-ness, same as the blanco. The flavor mingles with butterscotch, flowers and citrus. It has an odd finish of pepper, earth and a quick fade to almost water. I think someone already said this, but I will express it again. It numbs your tongue pretty good.

On the nose I get lots of orange peel and zest, along with some nuttiness. On the palate I pick up lots of cooked agave, sweet caramel and molasses. With the nose and taste combined It reminds me of peanut brittle but not sweet in an annoying way. Sipping in Glencairn glass. Wanna try in my Riedel Snifter. Great value for me as I picked up for $15/bottle. My bottle is dated at 2012.
