Has a good, clean aroma, but not agave forward. A bit of cinnamon and a hint of black licorice on the finish. A solid quality tequila.

Aroma : Ripe cooked agave, alongside some baking spices, earth, and vegetal notes. Taste : The aromas carry through here with the right amount of sweet and spice. There is also some cinnamon and black pepper here to contrast the agave. Texture is nice and oily. Finish : Long and warm, and prolongs the sweet/spicy profile equal amounts.

I have grown to really love the full lineup from Don Fulano, starting with the blanco. No additives, no funny business, just straightforward good natural tequila. Aroma is agave, black pepper, earth and vegetal. Flavor has a rich sweet mature cooked agave taste. Super enjoyable. This is a tequila that will make both hardcore aficionados and tequila beginners happy.

Mint and peppery with a sweet finish, and a hint of cinnamon- layers of complexity. The more I drink it, the more I like it!

Good tequila, has a confectionary quality without being sweet, reminds of those little powdered sugar rolls I used to get as a kid for Halloween. Nice aftertaste doesn’t stick around too long, I’m a fan.

Surprising to have not rated as yet. A ton of agave but also some creaminess from the resting in stainless for a time before bottling. Natural sweetness that fades to slight bitterness.

Round full nose. Agave, spices, smoke and a grassy herbal note. A touch of ripe Italian cheese peeking through. Flavors are complex. Cinnamon, aniseed, green olives and pepper. Some mint and hint of an earthy and slightly bitter root vegetable. Long and bold finish.

I found an old bottle of this in Cozumel Mexico. The label was almost worn off but the juice was still great.

soft pepper nose with cooked agave close behind. slightly aggressive, but in a good way. it reminds me that I'm a man despite sipping from this dainty glass. citrus comes on strong up front, passing pepper around the bend. it's a quick race passed your pallet, with pepper, agave and butter close behind. but don't worry. you still won.

I have owned these bottles for years and just unfortunately believe the package is better than the liquid; not a bad bad bottle, there are just many more that beat it for the price; warm vanilla on the nose, slight pepper across the back; more of the same on the finish; for the price point, I prefer Fortaleza;

nose was weak and funky smelled rancid at first, it is mandatory to let this bottle rest opened. same thing happend with the repo... once left to open up, it give you a nice range of scents. cooked agave, lime, spices and a mineral pepper hints. flavor is really nice. oily in the palate very green and mineral flavors. agave, spice, floral and a nice lingering finish.

Nose is okay, not a lot of agave. Has a little funkiness - rotten fruit? Not sure. Just ok. Palate - eh, musty agave. A little mint. There is something in here I am not liking. More of the rotten funk - not in a good way. Finish - does better here. There is a nice mint that does linger. Best part of the pour. Overall disappointed in this based on price. I will revisit as this was my first pour of the bottle, but initial impression isn’t good.

On the nose, the traditional cooked agave/pepper notes take a backseat to a more menthol/herbal profile. The same fresh minty notes lead the palate followed by a welcome dose of agave, anise, hot cinnamon, earth, and pepper. I gave this a 90 when I first tried it at a restaurant, but the bottle I bought after that tastes worse. This time there’s hints of a lactic/spoiled milk funk that remind me of Cimarron - another NOM 1146 blanco that I’m not a fan of at all. Don Fulano highlights my biggest problem with this distillery, which is the lack of consistency from bottle to bottle. Buying their unaged stuff in particular feels like a gamble every time. I really wish I had a better idea of what I was getting, especially for this price (~$50).

Very bright minty green agave forward aromas and flavors. Cooked agave and earth notes mid palate with a very pleasant medium heat that lingers on the finish. First time tasting this and enjoying it more with each sip …

Aroma: Light notes of citrus, pepper and herbs. Flavor: Hard to pinpoint, very clean and smooth on the palate, herbs and agave. Finish: Very clean herbal finish with a bite of pepper spice. Flavor lasts on the tongue. Overall: One of the best blancos I’ve tried for drinking neat.

Cooked agave, olives, lactic, vegetal and some black pepper in the nose, the first bottle I tried had some nice funk in the nose, nice creaminess in palate, full body, olives, smooth finish with clean herbal and sweet agave lingering. Nice blanco, on my 3rd bottle.
