Nose- agave, slight oak, anise, citrus Taste- agave, anise, citrus, touch of vanilla, lots of pepper.
Really liked this one. More wood notes than Artenom 1414 and also less swetness than Viva Mexico. It’s a buttery straightforward reposado.
Aroma : Oak, caramel, cinnamon, and baking spices. Taste : A touch of cooked agave alongside notable caramel and oak notes that make me think more of an Añejo than a Reposado. Finish : Medium length with a fair bit of barrel influence just like the initial taste. Not bad at all, but I would like to see a bit more complexity in the form of more agave, or maybe fruit or nut notes.
Aroma of wood, minerals, hint of buttermilk. Flavor of pronounced wood but not overpowering, agave, licorice, and finishes with more wood. Almost too heavily wooded for a Repo but that puts it in a class by itself and is very enjoyable. The tobacco flavor is so enjoyable to somebody that's a cigar smoker is kind of like they let you toss a few of your favorite cigars into the still or the barrel to add some flavor. Woof it's good!
Nicely spicy in the mouth, this is a great reposado from 1414. I wonder about the juice in the bottle as the harvest date for the agave is listed as 2005. I am thinking the blanco was in stainless before it was aged to reposado as this a fairly recent bottle. Whatever the story this is great juice.
Aromas of caramel, Hubbard bubba and cinnamon. Delicious flavor of cooked agave and a cinnamon finish.
Yummy. Great product. It smells fantastic and I love drinking this.
Really pleasant repo. It has many aspects of an Añejo and as such not too much agave. Nonetheless very nice!
There's a lot of bang for the buck with Siembra Azul, and this repo does not disappoint. With notes of chocolate covered cherries, butterscotch, cinnamon and honey, along with some herbs and spices, one might think that this is an añejo. The agave is not as predominate as I like in a repo, but the finish has a really nice dry earthy tone to remind you it is tequila.
A very tasty yet simple Reposado with no strings attached
Old world charm. Delicious sipper.
Amazing tequila, can anyone confirm if this additive free or not? Not seeing the additive free cert. on this one.
I did a tasting of Siembra Azul Reposado with three different lots including lit #13, #14, and the newest release, a blend of lots #13 and #16. I anticipated similar aromas but what I encountered were three different and distinct profiles—Lot #13 showcased caramel, butterscotch, banana; Lot #14 had light smoke and an ancestral nose; Lot 13/16 exhibited herbaceous, earthy notes. Despite nearly identical production methods, the varied terroir, owing to different agave ranchos, resulted in three remarkably different aroma and taste profiles. In a blind tasting, I would have bet the farm that each of these three were different brands. It's a compelling testament to the impact of terroir on both aroma and flavor.
Light floral citrus agave nose, nice well balanced finish with spice
Tried at Elijah’s.
Had this in NYC as my daughter graduated from NYU in speech pathology. This is an easy drinker. Some agave and oak aroma’s followed by a light sweetness concludes with a mild finish. I recommend it.
Love the rebranding/updated label. Nice aroma, vanilla, light fruit. Slight alcohol burn on the front, cherry & almond mid palate; light agave on the backend, not much character, unfortunately; almost too sweet for a Repo; Admittedly, I am a blanco drinker, so take my review with a grain of salt; great deal at $60 USD, though.
The oak influence is pretty impressive for a Reposado. Tons of sweet caramel, cinnamon vanilla and butterscotch. Still has a nice cooked agave/baking spice note. Closer to some Anejo's out there.
To a little bit of a whiskey after taste for me to get in to this one. Aroma is very nice.
The Missouri oak used to make the barrels on this one imparts a flavor somewhat like French oak. It has a citrus, honey, caramel, and spice. Almost buttery. Dangerously easy to drink. The price hurts the valuation. 90 for a 750ml!
tasted alongside Simbra Valles reposado. darker in color and more full bodied. Not as complex but it’s easier to drink in my opinion after it’s opened up for a few minutes. More oak influence for sure in this tequila, citrus, and black pepper on both the nose and taste.
Vanilla, butter, and caramel on the nose, followed by a mineral quality and agave. Oak and cinnamon are next, along with a touch of fruit and herbs. Kind of muted but still pleasant. Flavor is oak forward with agave, caramel, and cinnamon close behind. Loads of baking spice and butter, as well as an earthy, peppery bite. Almost reminiscent of a whiskey or bourbon to me. Personally I prefer less of an oak presence in reposados, but this is still worth drinking again.
smokey, Carmel flavor. rough finish
Virgin white oak barrels

Agave and oak up front with some vanilla on the mouth some citrus medium finish … soft and mellow
