I find the oak talking over the agave which I’m not a fan of but this is drinkable juice. Really sweet on the back end, I could see how that would win fans.

Older bottle, Mexican tax stamp from 2008. And a crumbling cork to go with it. Lote 13 from June 9, 2011. Nose: Floral, spicy agave, vanilla and white chocolate. Reminds me of birthday cake with vanilla frosting. Flavor: Rich mouth feel. Caramel apple, vanilla, cinnamon, cloves and pepper. Finish has a tiny musty note. A comfort food sort of feeling with vanilla and pepper coexisting in harmony.

easy smoke on the nose, with caramel sweetness in the back. the butter smell highlights the deep oak. very smooth on the palate where the caramel and butter melt on your tongue. small bits of white pepper spice remind you that you are drinking a mature well made tequila. smooth quick finish, leaving the butter on your tongue. sweet nose, overly ripe peaches. arrival is initially sweet as well, but quickly turns slightly bitter and astringent. becomes more bitter as it finishes, like raw chlorophyll, not pleasant.

Big, bold, unique and overly sweet aromas of maple syrup, vanilla, wood. Flavors of baked agave, caramel, pepper and baking spices not as sweet as expected. Medium finish.

Tasted blind Nose - Strong wood and char notes. Demonstrably darker than other samples in the group. Taste - Bold in the mouth with strong oak influence and pleasing spice from agave with a hint of bitterness Finish - Long and lingering with some side of tongue numbing

Aromas of ground milk chocolate and vanilla. The flavor carries from aroma to mouth feel. I love it! The finish doesn't disappoint. Those delicious flavors from aroma, to flavor, tofinish, follow through just like you want them to. This is just delicious sipping tequila.

This is a very complex tequila. On the aroma I get a briny note with a hint of caramel. But, on the flavor I get something very strongly chocolate and with a hint of clay. The finish fairly subtle but definitely lingers for a while.

Great aroma with fresh vegetal and agave right alongside rich chocolate. Thick flavor coats the mouth with baking spice (cinnamon, clove, nutmeg) and spicy pepper then comes that incredible chocolate flavor. Medium-long finish with spice and chocolate lingering with simmering heat.

Blind tasted. As every Casa Noble this is surely a crowdpleaser. Sweet agave nose with the famous "chocolate" aroma. I used to like it a lot but I actually don't much anymore. I came to the conclusion that the main Casa Noble characteristics smell and taste to me as artificial aroma, sweetness and flavoring. Although a good product, in the end it has the same defects of other good modern tequila, it's too designed and it lacks the rustic surprising character of the true artisanal tequila. Good but thanks, I'll pass.

Outstanding French oak notes to this tequila! Nothing else tastes like Casa Noble. This is my favorite age from this brand.

This taste came from the Casa Noble Reposado, Single Barrel #60 - a small 114L, lightly toasted French oak barrel that was aged for 364 days. This particular tequila is very complex with lot of spices and herbs with unsweetend chocolate, orange peel, and a touch of honey butter with nice long dusty finish. For being a reposado, the tequila has a lot more wood notes to it than many añejos on the market, and is a screamin' deal for $60! To me, Casa noble is one of the few producers who are making a better product now than they were 5, 10 years ago and have really come into their own in the last couple of years since adding their New French Oak barrels. One of the things that I really dig about all of the CN aged products is how they open up and get better with time in the bottle - and they start of mighty fine to begin with!

Review #91 - Casa Noble Tequila Reposado

A good solid reposado with some nice character. As to be expected from the Casa Noble line, which is a favorite amongst many tequila drinkers and part owned by Carlos Santana.

Casa Noble - the rich, full-flavored 'green' tequila

Taste is the primary factor in selecting which tequila I want to drink, and Casa Noble stands out in the flavor department.
