Great nose, love how they incorporated the rye barrel, slightly bitter, some light sweetness not exactly for my palette but it is balanced. I think the accomplished what the wanted here. A nice gift for your rye drinkers

ET knob creek repo Let it sit and open. Color is pale, indicating either exhausted barrels or a short sit in the barrels. Nose is fruity with spice and pepper. Palate is similar, with agave and slight caramel coming thru, with a fizzy feeling on the finish. i think i preferred the nose most. There is something different about this tequila that I'm not able to define. Possibly it's from the rye barrels.

Plenty of barrel influence as you’d expect. One for the whiskey drinkers. Interesting mix of agave, vanilla, oak, caramel, and whiskey. I’m detecting banana as well. Overall another great product from El Tesoro and an excellent sipper. Will break this one out on special occasion due to the high price point.

Smells a little smoky, like a whiskey and with a dose of agave. Tastes like a smoky Añejo. Finishes nicely. I like it!!

Agave, caramel, butterscotch, cement, oak and a wee-bit of cream-soda on the nose. Pale, wheat/straw color in the glass. Medium, silky mouthfeel. Agave, vanilla, caramel, dark chocolate, orange peel and peppery spices on the palate, with an oak and light smoky character. The whiskey-influence definitely comes through, but not so much that it overtakes the primary, tequila quality. Complex and well balanced. Finish is long with just enough spice to keep it interesting. Very nice sipper.

Nose: Agave/Butterscotch/Carmel/Oak Mouthfeel: light to medium bodied very impressionable Flavor/Finish Carmel and Agave all the way through. The sweetness on the end finishes from butterscotch back to Carmel with a bit of hay. this is incredibly smooth on the end!

Aroma: sweet, caramel, oak Taste: up front agave, pepper, oak, Finish: smooth, warm

Lote A-001-KCR Bottled 8/24/23. Aged in Knob Creek Straight rye barrels. nice spicy aroma with lots of rye and oak. Flavor of cooked agave comes through nicely. Well balanced Anejo delivering on the Knob Creek character yet retaining the great La Alteña tradition.

Good smoke and spice, long finish.
